About
Big Met Golf Course boasts the title of being Ohio's most-played golf course. Since opening in 1926, it has hosted an impressive 6,000,000 rounds of golf. The course is nestled into the Rock River Valley along gently rolling hills. One of the course's defining features is the dike that helps to hold back the Rocky River, which can be viewed from several holes. Although the golf course as it exists now differs dramatically from the original layout thanks to numerous improvements over the years, including lengthening and remodeling the seventh and eighth holes, it has retained the same playability that has earned its reputation. Big Met Golf Course is not overly challenging but there are a few strategically placed bunkers and tricky rough areas, as well as a moderate amount of length.

The Course Was in Superb Condition!
The course could not have been in better shape. I can't wait to play it again.
This was my first time at Big Met this season. Even though I walked it was great to see the newly paved cart paths. We started early, with a lot of dew on the fairways and as always the first hole is a nightmare with the sun in your eyes. The fairways and greens with in good shape, and bunkers have new sand in them. My only complaint is that Big Met is not supposed to be as difficult as Manikiki and Sleepy Hollow. Quit trying to make it that way by growing the rough that deep one less inch would still be punitive but not beyond the average golfer
Different Day, Same Pin placement
I’ve been playing big met regularly over the past 3 years due to convenience due to the courses proximity my home.
The problem with big met is that they do not change the pins regularly. The grass is always on the edge of the cups. They have poanna grass which is very thick and flowers up. I’ve complained several times and nothing changes.
Don’t expect regulation cups
Great condition
Amazing condition considering how many people golf here every year. Pace of play is always slower here due to the fact that it is always busy, be prepared for 2.5hrs per 9(but not always the case). Always a good time with a very professional and friendly staff add to the joy of Big Met
slow play is still there
almost 3 hours for 7 holes. At that point i quit playing.i don't mind slow play except when people are hitting 3 or 4 balls when they don"t like there shot and no one on the staff had the guts to say something. I did see a ranger watching but said nothing. These fellows held up the other players and they acted like they did not care. First time in 8 years i played the course for the same reason. They have alot of play there so they must not care.
Beautiful day
Gorgeous day. Went alone but ended up paired for 9 holes with three good guys. Pace of play was good, fairways were cleared of leaves, nice job by staff.
I paid a total of 35 dollars x3. When I got there we were told that the greens had been airriated and if I had booked at the course it would have been 16dollars x3. So I ended up paying more than twice the amount going through golf now. I’m not happy. Roger Ferenc
Aerated greens
Greens were recently aerated. No warning upon purchase of round. Cups were not cut clean. Very shaggy on the edges and one hole wasn’t even the shape of a circle. If you can putt on these you can putt anywhere. Greens should be in way better shape but they are doing the bare minimum to keep them quick. Shaggy greens not worth 40
