The course has a nice layout, long way from green to tee box
The course was in nice shape except the sand traps, because of the horrible recent rains, they were all full of water and hard
tough day
It is a fairly short course with narrow fairways, a lot of ponds, a creek crossing almost every hole and a lot of blind shots. It has been raining a lot so the rough was thick and balls were hard to locate. Greens and fairways were realy nice. My first time and I think I could enjoy it better if I could play it enough to under stand the layout and played smart golf, but I am not a local. It was fairly crouded and very wet ,90 degree, but the pace was good. To sum it up, you get what you pay for and be prepared to be frustrated if you dont stay in the fairway.
Hello, Mike. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Fairways vastly improved from a month ago
Friendly staff. Greens in very good condition. Fairways have vastly improved since playing last month.
Very bad Fairways
Lots of dead grass spots all over the fairways. Guess that's why price was so low. Pace of play on front was fast, ran into horrible backup on back 9. No starter managing pace. Unplayable pace, 2 some, 4 some, 3 some, 4 some. Bunch of hackers slowing my rhythm down. I don't like waiting in between shots. Player look for lost balls forever or take forever to chip and putt.
ron golf
this is one of my favorite places to play. Great conditions and people are very friendly as well. We play there 5 or 6 times this year and will be back a few more.
Best value around
Great course for the price. Greens nice. Lay-out has short holes and long holes. I really like the course and for the price of $27 on Golf now can’t beat it !!
Challenging course in average condition
Greens were in good shape but fairways must be diseased as they are mostly brown. Hope they get them back in good condition.
Layout great, but burned out
This course can challenging and fun to play, however the current course conditions, especially the fairways and rough are in bad shape. You can’t tell the fairway from the rough much of the time. The fairways looked to be burned out or diseased. Sand traps were mostly ok, with a few more rocky and another with standing water. I’m hoping that the course can be restored.
Father’s Day round
Overall fun course. Some short but challenging. Not too crowded for father’s day weekend
Slow play...no ranger
Great price on golfnow...unfortunately two groups ahead that did not know how to pick up their ball after 20 strokes...and no one to guide them to let faster players play through. Nice people at clubhouse and course was in good shape. Just no course supervision which put a damper on our experience.
Challenging course in good condition. Friendly staff
Front 9 backed up so starter let us go off back 9. Rough was very high.
Powderhorn
I always enjoy playing Powderhorn GC. We play there several times a month. It’s always a challenge.
Nice course but short staffed
Course parking lot was full but was able to tee off 15 minutes early. That was a plus. The problem was golf carts were not fully charged and had to switch carts at the turn and then had to call for a new charged cart on the 16th hole. So needed three different carts to play 18 holes of golf. Also, pushing carts up hill is not my idea of an enjoyable Sunday of golf. I will say that when I mentioned this to the nice lady at the register she was sympathetic and so I got two golf vouchers to make up for the inconvenience. We will be back to play this course because I like the layout but I certainly hope they hire some dependable help.
