Best kept secret in Northeastern Ohio
Jewel of a course. The price is right and the course plays awesome. The reception from the host is very professional. You will seem as if you're on your home course.
nice course
beautiful day to golf. Course in good shape for this time of year. clubhouse needs work.
Fun course
The course was in very good shape for as dry as it is. The staff was extremely helpful. One of our foursome list a hundred dollar bill and when he called back they honestly said they found it and gave it back to him. Will definitely return. Nice layout with some challenging holes.
Nice course
We always enjoy playing Powderhorn several times a year. It is worth the drive.
Poor etiquette
I enjoy this course and have played it several times this year even though it is a good hike for me to get to. The only problem is that foursomes do not ask me (as a single) to play through. I mean it is either they wait 5 minutes for me to play through or I wait 15 minutes at every hole for them.
Powderhorn fun
I always enjoy playing here. We hardly ever have to wait on other golfers ahead of us. It has a nice layout with easy to somewhat difficult holes. I`ll be back.
Too slow
I generally like this course but the pace of play on a Wednesday morning was unacceptable. There was no league and not even any foursomes but folks playing very slow talking on cell phones and appeared to be giving lessons all while not allowing faster groups to play through.
Good conditions
Greens and fairways well-conditioned; interesting layout with several difficult par 4's and several easy par 4's.
Nice course
I enjoy playing this course. We usually play it once or twice a month. I recommend this course.
Great Price worth the trip
There are a few quirky holes and blind shots here but the course is much more enjoyable the more you play it. The greens were in great shape and the pace of play was fantastic. It is too far away unless the golf now price is pretty good.
Good for the money
The greens are nice and the fairways were decent. Stray off the fairways, though, and grass is patchy and the ground is hard. Added incentive to hit the fairway!
I'd recommend the course to someone looking for value but not necessarily a great track.
Please Invest in Repair Tool !!!!!!
Played Saturday morning 0745 for 29.00. Great deal compared to other courses Saturday morning rate. Powderhorn is in good condition, and is drying out, finally got some roll in the fairways, after soggy May. Powderhorn is a good layout with a few shorter quirky holes. What short holes lack in distance they mostly make up for with slope of the greens. This can be a little frustrating at first, but its a course that has grown on me. The only problem I had was not the courses fault. Its all of the golfers who don't repair their ball marks. There were a lot of un repaired marks. Please if you can't afford a repair tool, or can't be bothered to bend over and repair your ball mark then do us all a favor and stop playing
