Timberview Golf Club
About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

Better the 2nd time
I played Timberview a few weeks ago, for the first time, and was disappointed with the condition of the fairways, rough, and especially the greens.
I played it again today and the course was in somewhat better shape. the greens still had some bare spots but it looked like the ball marks were repaired and they had a better roll. The rough was cut and it was easier to find balls in the rough and on the fairway. The fairways still don't stand out well on some holes but it was much better this round.
For the $$ they charge, this is a pretty decent course and I will play it more often if the greens and rough stay in the same shape they were today.
Ok - but nothing special
Golf course was good, except there is a lot of clover hard to find a tee shot, even a good one.
The horse flies were really bad!!!!
I'll play on dirt for $7
The course was in a little bit of disarray but I played for SEVEN DOLLARS!! That's like a cup of coffee. Greens played well except for a weed every now and again. Rough and fairway very similar in term of cut and condition. Very friendly staff. Will be back for under $10! Very cool semi island green par 3 as well.
Great Hot Deal
This course isn't exactly the nicest course around, but for $6 from a hot deal, I would definitely recommend it.
Not impressed
Nice layout but the fairways and rough were weed infested. Greens were in decent shape but overall this course looks like it's being neglected.
Left unattended
I was somewhat disappointed with the condition of the course. The fairways were not determinable in many spots and had a number of weeds growing in them. The greens were in terrible shape for most of the course. Ball marks were not fix and many greens had bare marks. One hole had a stand of trees 40 yards in front of the tee box that force the player to try to either wrap a shot around it at an extreme left angle or hit to an out of bounds area. A number of holes did not match the score card diagrams and we we forced to just hit an hope for the best.
I did like how many of the holes force you to be precise with your tee shot with tight tree lined fairways, but this was not enough to overcome the obvious lack of care and overall poor condition of the course
Summer Blight
My son and I quit after 9 holes. There was water everywhere. The rough was covered with dandelions and many fairways were clover covered. Greens were holding because they were soaking wet. Greens were cut well but were covered with brown spots. There were places where we left our balls in the fairway because we couldn't get to them without walking through three to five inches of water. When we went in after nine, we said we weren't planning to go back out. The staff said "yep, it's wet out there." They should never have sent us out or at least warned us before we went out. I understand the water but the grass cutting and weeds and attitude of the personnel have nothing to do with the rain.
Greens are simulated moon surface
Timberview has a sizeable clubhouse with reasonable food and drink prices. That pretty much it for the positives. The golf course itself in 2014 is nothing short of a disaster. Despite a relatively cool, wet summer so far, the fairways are thin and the rough is nothing but clover. The greens are the largest disappointment. I've never seen so many ball marks in my life. You will struggle to find a putt that won't roll over at least one not fully repaired ball mark. The layout is quite easy, with only a few holes bringing any notable challenge from tee to green. Any serious golfer should avoid this course until the maintenance is seriously upgraded.
Fore
Course extremely wet. Standing water in sand traps. Ruff is quite long with lots of clover(makes finding ball difficult). Greens were in great shape considering how much rain we received. fairways were very soft and wet, grass was long. Not surprising considering all the rain.
Course on a good day is challenging and fun to play. Normally not crowded and pace of play is above average.
Like with most courses players need to be considerate and replace divets and ball marks on the greens.
Timber view
Very wet after 1+ inches of rain- did not drain well. Greens and. Cartpaths need attention, I liked the course design
Timberview Golf Club is in better shape then ever
Course is manicured and very nice and fun to play.
be prepared
we got this tee time for $5 on golfnow... make sure you bring a lot of balls... we lost a bunch in the fairway... and forget about finding them in the rough. I lost 3 yellow 1 pink in a couple whites... but good news is I found quite a few as well. Nice track but needs to be maintained better. Go into it knowing that it's simply a practice round course.
Great Potential
Timberview has great potential. The fairways need Scott's Lawn Care. They need to get rid of all the weeds and cut the fairways more frequently. Clubhouse is huge with all cement parking lot. The course just needs a lot of TLC.
Poorly kept course
While the course cost was low, so was the condition of the course. We lost balls in the middle of the fairway. There were just as many weeds in the fairway as there were in the rough. Have they not heard of Weed and Feed? Poor drainage everywhere. Cart paths were mud and standing water. Where there WAS any asphalt left it was very rough and falling apart. For 25 dollars each I would have thought they could have at least kept up the fairways. I will say that greens were not bad. Small but seemed to be in fair condition.
Can't beat it for $7
Got a fire deal for $7 for 18 with a cart and a great deal it was! Course was ok only complaint would be inconsistent greens some slow some fast and lots of dandelions to help you lose your ball but over all it was ok and enjoyable.
It indeed was a long winter
Decent layout, great pace of play (3 hours for 18 holes), obvious that winter was a harsh one as many paths were pretty beat up as were the greens... but it's early and would expect things to smooth out as spring gets more in bloom.
Very wet
The course was very wet, even in the high areas. Lost a few balls in the middle of the fairway because they plugged
beautiful fall day
beautiful fall day, course was in good shape especially the greens for this time of year
This is a great track but needs attention!
The course has some very interesting holes and must play placement golf. Need some attention to the greens but they roll true.
ALL & ALL NOT BAD
WELL LETS SEE, THE WORST OF IT IS ALOT OF THE GREENS WERE IN BAD SHAPE, CRACKING & GIANT DIRT SPOTS ( NO GREEN ON THEM ), COURSE IS ALITTLE CONFUSING WHERE TO START FRONT NINE & THE BACK NINE, HOUSES WERE A LITTLE NERVE RACKING JUST TRYING NOT TO HIT THEM. LOL. ALL & ALL FOR ARE FIRST TIMES IT WASNT THAT BAD.
