Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

The course is so close to being good
The course is in great shape, minus the Tboxes and cart path. All the grounds team needs to do is to address these issues and the reviews will go up. It’s a good price point course.
Marysville is in great shape with a few exceptions.
The greens at Marysville are perfect!! Fairways in great shape. Tee boxes, no problem. The pro shop, restrooms and grill are top notch and they have a simulator. I did not use the gravel cart paths, too many bumps and potholes. I am sure this is on their list of improvements to be made. I rode alongside them in the grass. The bunkers are raked and ready only lack sand? Here again I am sure this is a maintenance issue to be addressed. I was the first off and single so I blew through the course in 2 1/2 hours. Loved it. Great golfnow price along with a reward made this an exceptional value. This is my go to course when not venturing elsewhere. They have added yardage screens to their golf carts by Tagmarshal which are spot on helpful and very accurate.
Very soft greens
Nice course. Has a solid layout, especially on the back 9 (lots of doglegs that give you options). Give the staff credit for keeping the greens very soft and moist, even amidst the recent heat wave.
Very enjoyable course.
Greens are very good. Fairways are very good. Tee boxes are good. Typical small-town course so it’s not a mind blowing layout but that’s ok because it’s just fine the way it is. It was enjoyable to play! Well stocked pro shop. Grill is nice. Staff is nice. I didn’t see a practice area. The practice putting green is tiny and pretty much just for warming up. It’s in very good condition though. Great value. I walked 9 holes on a Thursday morning and paid $28. I recommend this course and would play here again.
Decent
Course was fairly well maintained. Some bunkers had been overgrown and were thus just pits of grass, but overall it was a fun course. Signage for hole 1 and 10 could be better, but not a horrible experience for the price.
Nice entry level course and great value.
The golf course is a nice entry level track. Greens are in nice shape. Fairways were in good shape. The tee boxes are a work in progress as are the cart paths both a bit rough. The rough is as it should be challenging and losing your ball can be easy here.
We found at least dozen balls while playing and locating our misses.
My son and I played and enjoyed ourselves and the cart and fees were affordable and a good value for what you get.
The gent on onsite we encountered was cool and kind and welcoming.
If you are looking for a round of golf that won’t break the bank and allow you to enjoy a day out give it a go.
First time playing
Course was in great shape. The greens were consistent and smooth. Fairways were in good shape. White tee boxes were in rough shape. The wife’s red tee boxes were in great shape. Pace of play was slow on the front 9…2 1/2 hours. Back 9 was almost empty. 1 hour 40 mins on the back. Good city course! Great ray]tes and a friendly staff!
Course was in great shape.
The only thing that needs to be done is work on the cart path. Horrible shape!
Good day!
For the money the course was a good value..the course was in good shape..definitely need some repairs to the cart paths.. but this course remains a staple for me.
No Rain Checks
I had booked 9 holes with caet for my son, I mistakely did this twice. Then, my son couldn't play so i drove up to see if I could get a rain check for the now two rounds for 9 holes. The employee said they couldnt do that so im out to two rounds at $40 a piece.
Dought Ill return to this course.
Poor value , poor condition....
Unfortunately this course was a big mistake, conditions were absolutely abysmal. I know there was a big storm a week or two before and I was going to give it a pass for all the branches and debris but everything else was just as poor condition. They didn't have the tee box markers out on the tee boxes!! I've truly never even seen that before and I've played on some cow pastures before lol
I know it was early season, but it was hard to tell the difference between tee boxes-rough- fairways it all just looked the same ... sometimes we didn't even know where to tee off from !!! We still are wondering how it earned 4 stars on Golf now app. The day before we played another 4 star course 20 minutes south and it was a gem 💎. So we are left scratching our heads.
