Cranbury Golf Club

It is a very nice course. Small greens makes it challenging to keep the ball on the green! Big fan of that. Great clubhouse and pro shop as well.

Overall the day was great.

Staff very friendly and knowledgeable .

The Bog restaurant bar is awesome..

Friendly staff, good food, .

The ONLY complaint of the day was allowing a FIVESOME of walking golfers to play together.

That jammed up the pace... Front 9 took almost 3hrs.

I would still recommend for a good round..

Played here 1x before; remembered liking it tho is a full hour’s drive from home. Countryside vibe unlike most nearer to NYC and northern NJ. Not too tight fairway targets, not a ball eater with hazards and growth along the margins. Also not entirely lined up along people’s back yards. Staff helpful & cheerful tho it was a little hard to track down the starter…but, when he offered me chance to play solo I jumped on happily. Then immediately got behind a father/son where dad was coaching the 11 year old PGA hopeful. Dropped 4 balls practicing every shot. Made slow play seem even slower. Could have used a Ranger to police this breach of etiquette for sure on a Sat at noon, no less. Jeez. Luckily, thunder and a 10 minute deluge chased them off on #8 and after that I got into a rhythm. Nice day stolen after all considering the weather. I’ll be back.

Course was in good shape for early April, still some maintenance going on so you can tell it will be getting better. Pace was very good.

I went on a Thursday afternoon trying to sneak away for a quick round. The staff were incredibly friendly and the course layout is nice, but there were some less-than ideal conditions. The course itself was not in great shape as they are actively working on parts of it. There was one hole where there were actual bulldozers and workers in the greenside bunkers during play (FORE!). In addition, my group got stuck behind a VERY slow foursome on the front nine to the point where groups behind us started jumping holes to get ahead of all of us. There was no ranger to address the pace and it took nearly 2.5 hours just to get through nine resulting in one of the guys in my group bailing early on the round himself. On the positive side it was only $25 to walk, so it's hard to argue against that price for a decent course. All things considered, it's worth checking out again and I would imagine it will be much improved overall once the work is completed.
