Always a great time
We play Cranbury quite often in our groups "rotation". We always have a great time. Like many courses I have a love/hate relationship with the layout though I do love more holes than not. The greens are always in great shape. And it's a fun course whether it's the first time played or, like us, you go back many times. The nineteenth hole, "The Bog" is a great place to unwind or settle up after your round. Enjoy !
Great Course For Price
I found the course to be in great condition for a public track. The greens were rolled and manicured. The fairways were in fabulous condition. I enjoyed my walk and I’ll play it again soon.
Sand Trap Improvements Would Make A Huge Difference
I play here often and my only constant complaint involves the sand traps which need lots of TLC. Too many rocks and not enough sand. The layout is nice with great variety. Narrow at times which is a great opportunity to work on your accuracy as you don’t have a lot of latitude. Overall, well worth the money
Good day
Only problem we had we had 2 foursomes ahead of us walking and the first group of ladies second group of4 their husbands and the men waited for the ladies to get on the green every hole was crazy never saw somebody so slow on the Teebox Never saw a Ranger turns out there is a twosome behind us on the front nine they end up playing with us for five holes on the back nine as a fivesome
Plays well
A surprisingly good course for the value. Long par 5s made the outing more interesting.
Good value but Slow Play.
Play was extremely slow due to an outing taking place.
Probably would not have booked a tee time if I knew there was an outing going on.
Greens were not in very good shape.
ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF ETIQUETTE???
Course and staff were A+++
BUT
The ppl I was paired up with WERE THE WORST!!!
No GC etiquette whatsoever!!!!
I was paired up w a guy seemed nice enough at 1st. He brought along his sister to ride in his cart. Ok whatever.
Then at the last minute we were paired up w 2 ladies. Fine whatever 4some + a “driver”. He was playing the BLUE I was playing WHITE. Ladies from GOLD. Fine.
As soon as we get past 1st hole. Both carts start playing music Totally annoyed. Not even a “do you mind if we play music” I wouldn’t have really cared just show some courtesy. I’d have just said keep it down. Then on every tee box and every green thereafter the 3 ladies have a full blown conversation as I’m teeing it up or lining up a putt.
A few times I gave a dirty look then as I lined it up again they just continue in yapping!!!!! So annoying and discourteous!!! MY PET PEEVE!!!!
Ok, at best
It was nice to get out in the nice weather, but it was tough to play considering the course condition. Greens were spotty and inconsistent. Rough was thick or thin or somewhere in between. Found myself in the bunker more than I like, which is completely my fault, but ended up tossing my ball out on to some grass because of how rocky the bunkers were. Rules violations weren't enough to warrant chipping a club (something that happened to me in the first bunker). Overall, it's good if you're just looking to grab a quick 18, but I probably won't be coming back.
Could be better
The big takeaway— the sand traps need SAND .
They are either rock hard or water logged. Puddles in quite a few.
They recently aerated it appears ,;so there were some bumpy greens.
Cart paths are dangerous. Drive slowly.
Hopefully there will be improvements.
No Rangers
The course was not in great shape.
Bunker sand was very hard and wet in some cases, rakes broken.
The foursome in front of us was drinking and very slow. There was no one in site to move them along.
The courses in overall great shape from T boxes to green. They need to get the rocks and pebbles out of the bunkers though. The staff is friendly and helpful and Mike at the Bog restaurant makes lunch after the round exceptional.
Round at Cranbury golf course.
Staff were very friendly and pleasant. They paired my son and I with 2 other golfers and had a blast. Would recommend course to play. Conditions and pace of play were good considering it’s early April.
