Great job by the grounds team…. If you avoided this course the last few years I couldn’t blame you.. but ur definitely missing out now…. On a hot deal it was a steal even the rack rate is a good value
Monday Pinelands review
With weather changes, we got a short Frost delay before play. We were teamed with a 4th player. We didn’t at first know that there were a couple of temporary greens that were in play. I would have liked to know that before starting. No big issue but…
When we got finished, we were looking forward to a beer and a sandwich when we were informed that the “Winter season changes” didn’t include lunch on Monday’s. Oh well, we went down the street to a little deli store for lunch.
Leaves are a falling
At this time of year it is expected to see the colorful leaves fall from the tees. This is an annual experience and golfers know there is a very good chance of loosing a golf ball when it doesn’t land in the fairway. I was dismayed that the course maintenance crew hadn’t done a better job of clearing the leaves, especially on the greens. Some greens were so covered with leaves that each player had to clear the path for his putt. This naturally slowed the play as well.
Very slow play
3 temporary greens. I guess good they are making course very nice. My problem was pace of play. Every 9 min tee time. First 9 holes took just short of 2.5 hours. Was told by ranger the back was playing slower. Waited for 2 foursomes on 10th tee. I left after 13 holes. Won't be back until I hear things improved. My last time there was very slow too!

They are turning the course into a top place to play. The price is good. Greens in excellent shape. Overall a nice day
Beautiful course
They're renovating the club house, and it should be really nice when they are finished. Well kept fairways and greens. Fun course.
golfing in the pines!
its refreshing to see a owner that actually puts money back into the course instead of collecting the money and doing nothing.....course in great shape, nice amenities,good pace of play and a nice 19th hole!......pinelands does it right but why wont they take CASH?.....still a great round of golf for the money!!!!!
Worst kept secret
My only suggestion would be for them to include a beverage/food cart to make the rounds on the course. Other than that you won’t find a better course for the price!
