The new owners have done an amazing job on the fairways and greens. They seed sliced the entire course. They also refurbished all the tee boxes. The entire course is a beautiful green. I come here quite often during the year and the job they have done from the beginning to now is amazing.
Great course overall
Played at pine lands for the first time. Course is under new ownership and a lot is being done. Temp tees but other than that course was great. Talked to the owner while at dinner and he’s got a lot of great things planned for the course. Food was great, course was great definitely going back.
Excellent course. They are trying
Pinelands is an excellent course which I believe is under new ownership/management. We played off of temp tees which can happen anywhere and the greens were about as clean and true as you could expect. Fairways are for the most part clean and well maintained as well with some small exceptions being areas which are being repaired. Overall Pinelands is EASILY the best value I’ve ever had golfing, and with a little more time and money it’ll be in the contention for top overall as well. Convenient location as well
Aerated and reseeding of tee boxes
Wow, the double whammy. My friends and I found out later in the week that the maintenance was underway. We made the best of it. We like this course and the tavern. So, no surprise we had a couple and a burger afterwards. Good course, just wish I knew sooner.
Work in progress
It’s ridiculous that people who don’t understand course management comment on things they don’t understand. It is obvious the new owners are spending a ton of money to bring the course back. Grass has to grow it takes time, it’s not over night. Temp tee boxes are necessary to allow for new growth on tee boxes. Greens must be aerated seasonally. It takes a lot of time and money to maintain fairways, especially when golfers refuse to replace divers, fix ball marks and drive their carts where they aren’t supposed to. Best deal in town. Great value. Beautifully redone club house and pro shop. Staff is incredible. I will play it again and will be excited to see what the course looks like in the spring.
Greens are not good
A lot of sand on the greens and tee boxes were pushed up i don’t know why cause the original box’s looked great. Only issues was the greens and tee boxes.
Needs Work
The course is in rough shape. The fairways are burnt out and patchy. It looks like they are trying to do decent amount of work on the course, but giving people better notice would have been nice. Every single hole had a temporary tee boxes in areas that were filled with crab grass and tick rough. The course has good layout and looks like if it’s in good condition it would be a nice place for a round. But given the conditions right now they should either close until all work is done or give people a serious discount on the price of the rounds.
Stay Away
I played the pinelands since I was a kid but this is the first time back in about 12 years. New Management took over and say they are making changes to the course. Not so sure if that is accurate. The fairways are rock hard and all dirt with a few patches of what I think they call grass. Tee boxes were tore up and bunkers were rock traps but the greens were ok. I hope they really are trying to get this course into shape, if not just sell it to developers!! I will not be back
Overbooked
Looks like new owners are working hard on the course itself and that is a real positive, but they were more than a half hour late getting groups off first tee. One group that was waiting ahead of us left without playing. Part of this was that they don’t have enough carts and they had to wait until a group finished before a new group could go out. There also was no ranger on the course and at one point we were the third group waiting to tee off on the same hole with two other groups in the fairway.
Love the slop
I seriously never complain about course conditions but the condition of this course was absolutely horrendous! I honestly dont know how they get repeat customers...every fairway was basically dirt...i guess the greens were ok cause there was grass on them...wont be back...i told people to turn around in the parking lot and save their money. What a joke
Nice Course, lots of work being done to improve the Course
I haven't played this course for a long time, but was very pleased with what I saw. The greens were in great shape and there is new grass growing everywhere. New owners took over and the place is looking great!
Bees everywhere, fairways barely had grass
Wouldn’t play here again. First 4 holes had bees imfesting the entire hole from tee box all the way through the fairways. Fairways throughout the course barely had grass, found myself hitting out of dirt In the middle of the fairways. Overall not great.
Course undergoi g improvement so temp t boxes shorten course...no carts in farways makes for longer walks to ball if of fairways...easyer to find wayward balls in woods as debri being cleared...should b an awesome course when grown in next year..
Pinelands Golf Course - I like the improvements
The course has some challenging holes, including holes no. 6 and 13 in my opinion, and overall is a really good course to play. Improvements to the clubhouse were completed and when we played, they were performing maintenance to the tee boxes. I like seeing the investment in the golf course as it shows the commitment to the golfers who play Pinelands, and they will keep coming back.
