A very nice public course, very well maintained
This is a rather short (5,400 yards from the white tees) public course. Some of the tee boxes were pretty sparse, but the greens were excellent.
The course is well maintained. I noticed at least 3 workers blowing leaves and gathering them up. Cart paths are showing a little age! But, that is to be expected.
A lot of 90 degree dog legs, through heavy woods to eliminate cutting the corners.
All in all, a very pleasant course to play, and well worth the golfnow hot deal rate
Great place to spend the day at.
Have been going this Paradise for many years now and I must say it's in the best shape that it has ever been in. Fairways are cut and defined, greens are challenging, has some water holes that are fun to play, and the price is good value. It's in the country so you don't hear the traffic, only birds and other golfers driving into the trees lol. Its a must try golf course and you will be back. The 3rd hole on the front 9 is like the highest point in Portage county.... you can see all the way to Kent. Beautiful views.
Course has many mature trees along the narrow fairways.
Great course, very narrow and hilly and small greens make it challenging.
Easy course, but for the price isn't bad
For the price, the course isn't bad, but it's nothing to write home about.
A great place to be
Several tee boxes are on top of the world, 5 minutes from god. A beautiful short course, with lots of downhill fairways, raised greens, and tight doglegs.
I love
I love this place.. Super friendly and helpful staff, pristine conditions, beautiful scenery, what else can you ask for!!! I come back as often as I can, it is 45 minutes from house but worth the gas !! I recommend this place to everyone I can
Nice course for a great price
Booked for two, a third came his greens fee was only $5 more and we had a blast. The course looks wonderful the greens played fast. All in all it was an A+ experience.
Greens and fairways in great shape.
Owners and staff take pride in their work. Cart paths need some work but I came to play the course, not ride around. Would definitely go back.
To slow
over 3 hrs for 9 holes, was so slow we quit after 9holes, ranger was driving around but did not do his job
Greens were tough to play but in beautiful condition.
A bit frustrating with slow players in front of us, but the course is nice. Great cart path. Landscaping seems to have lost some luster from years past...
best maintaned course in the area
The best maintained golf course in the area. The greens role so true you will think your playing a private course.
Course was nice, too many noon tee times
Paradise lakes was great for the deal here on Golf Now the course was well maintained. The greens were fast and the course has many turns. It is a short course especially on the front 9. The pace of play is my only complaint. Instead of starting groups on both the front and the back they flooded the front of the course and it took nearly 5 hours to play 18. Overall I would go back and reccomend to friends.
Great value, course in good shape
Course is in really good shape. Fairways nice and greens in great shape. A fun course to play.
Awesome everything
Wow! This course is awesome in every aspect. I definitely will come back to this course because it had everything. Water, trees and sand trap hazards, Not knowing which way the fairway went allowed us to use more clubs, also for the hills. This course is definitively golfer friendly.
Just OK...
Greens were really well maintained and fast. The course itself is fine. People that play the course aren't replacing ball divots on the greens or fairways like they should, but that isn't the courses fault. It is a pretty course that has some decent vertical change. Cart paths are so so and they could use some attention where they end.
The course could be easily improved by doing three things: 1) Put yardage markers in all of the par 4 and 5 fairways that have the distances marked/written on them. This is a course for beginner to intermediate players and would help them as blue and red may not mean much to them. I couldn't find them at all on many of the holes on the back nine. 2) There are a couple of decent doglegs and one "L" shaped hole. Mark the distance on the scorecard to the bends as it is frustrating guessing. 3) Not all of the holes are marked at the tee box with signage as to what hole it is, the par score, yardage, etc. Add some simple signage that will help people to the next hole or inform them of which tee box they are at. We got turned around for a couple of minutes (we weren't the only ones either) just because there were two tee boxes in close proximity (I believe 3 and 12).
Overall it is a fine course and could be made better really easily. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. For the money we would go back, but it wouldn't be our first choice or something we were really excited about.
Staff was great!!
Fantastic place to take kids during week. Not crowded and boys play slow. They had a fantastic time and we will be back!
fun course! played the front 9 it was great, hope to play the back nine soon.
Everything about this course was great, the only down side was the cart paths are pretty bad.
A Hidden Emerald, Especially for Senior Golfers
This course has greatly improved from when I first played it 30 years ago. The greens are now some of the finest in the area. It is not a long course, but it has a number of holes that require one to hit the ball accurately, or incur a penalty. it will test your game!
this course continues to improve every year.
Very hilly. Not walkable except kids. Carts paths were upgraded. Scorable if you put drives in the right spot.
