Course was in AWFUL shape
Weather has been sub par this year, but that’s no excuse for how poor of condition this course was in. Tee boxes were miserable, fairways rotted and greens were atrocious. No work has been done to the greens to even make them manageable. It’s an unfortunate $30 gone for the round, but won’t be back to lose another $30 there.
Not good
Course was in very tough shape. I understand the weather has been tough this spring / early summer but this was bad. Looked like no effort had been put into tee boxes greens or fairways
Water
The irrigation has been restored now so hopefully in the next week or so the course will be green again. We have not had rain in over two weeks
Golf is intended to be played on grass, not dirt
Greens were dead, fairways too, only time I ever hoped to get in the rough so I had a little grass under the ball, course is unplayable, pray for rain or for them to use the sprinklers
18 holes in 3hr 15min
Course in good shape greens extra fast. Rough cut well, easy to find ball not in fairway.
Course was in good shape for late fall.play.. Greens were a little slow. but not bad for fall golf.
Could be nice
When your able to play courses like sawmill, green hills, and thunderbird with a small drive for less money at this time of the year, why play here. The course has really fallen apart over the past years. Could be very nice with a little care. Fairways not mowed and rock hard. Greens were punched and not enough sand.
Needs care
Most of the course desperately needed water. A lot of shots were off hard dirt in the fairway. You basically had to play your shot into the green accounting for a large bounce. It could be a good course but just needs some tlc.
great view
I love the back nine on the Portage river. great view. the greens were fast but the fairways were a bit rough
Greens have improved
Some type of club tournament was in progress so they obviously paid some special attention to the greens. They were rolling fast and smooth (best of the year), and there were also some tough pin placements - very nice setup today - challenging but playable.
Good times
Fun and forgiving course to play. The greens were in pretty good shape and for 18 holes with cart, the price was very fair. It was worth playing in between riding roller coasters at Cedar Point.
Good time
We played thru a couple groups and zoomed around the course - loved the pace. The greens were mowed this time and in very nice shape.
