About
Although it is located in Hauppauge on Long Island's North Shore, Wind Watch Golf Club possesses the look and feel of a destination course. Sprawling across a lush, rolling landscape covered with sparkling ponds, the course is as challenging as it is scenic. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes and there are more than 75 bunkers, some of which are massive in size, strategically placed throughout. Almost every hole presents golfers with a unique risk-reward opportunity. The golf course begins and ends at its highest point, which is one of the island's highest elevations. Wind Watch's closing hole provides a memorable finish as the only dogleg on the course. This par 4 takes a sharp left before climbing uphill to the triple-tiered green that is protected by three enormous traps.

Good day at Windwatch
Friendly and courteous staff , played with a couple of members and had an enjoyable day .
Good course
I played this course many years ago. The greens appears improved. But fairways are the same.
Wished to enjoy scenery as I like to view surrounding, small ponds were little dirty that I kind disappointed. However, overall, it’s okay

very slow play, added an hour and 1/2.
No supervisor available to move slower parties.

Slooow back nine
Played this course many times. Teed off on a Saturday at 1:00 pm and we had 3 foursomes.
The front nine went along as usual on a weekend afternoon. The group in front of us seem to have some beginners but moved along fine. A 2 hour 15 minute front nine which was a very respectable for a Saturday afternoon. Then the back nine!!! We come to the 10th tee and the group in front of us suddenly has a five some. Wait what???!!! They all teed off on the 10th tee. So, I called the pro shop asking what’s going on. And the guy answering the phone sounded very surprised that there were a five some playing. However, after I made the call not one ranger or an employee came out to check what was going on. Like they knew but didn’t want to say they knew. Every time we reached the tee box, there they were. Five of them hitting 60 yard drives or into the woods!!! And on the greens, at least pick up the pace!!! Didn’t bother talking to the group as I don’t blame them. Instead it’s all on the course management for letting this happen!!!
$110 for an afternoon tee time and this happens???!!!
This place is so overpriced!!!
Nice Course
Nice Course. Lucky we got a tee time.
My only complaint is that there is nowhere to get something to eat. No restaurant, nothing in the clubhouse except for a snickers bar. The cart girl driving around had the small bag of Doritos. That's it. No more hot dogs, sandwiches, snacks?? Nothing. But they did have shots of whiskey for $19 each.
Maybe change that.
good course
course is not the longest but definitely will penalized for bad tee shots. to add to that greens were really fast but very pure, definitely one of the fastest public golf course green on the island. People are nice and rangers actually do their job and tell people who are playing slow. Will be coming back for sure.

Good condition overall..greens were fast and true
Good track but is not maintained.
The course is a good design but is no longer maintained. Tee boxes need renovation; greens are not rolled; paths have potholes. At a price of over $100 per round the conditions should be better.
