Golfer Reviews
Beautiful course and great views
I was invited to play here with a friend who is a member at this club. This is not open to the public but if you a chance to play it, jump at it. Beautifully maintained and very challenging to the average golfer and even to lower handicaps. Lots of up and down lies but also a very fair course. Greens are fast but not PGA pro fast and usually pin placement is fair. Great views from the 17th hole and a few others. Bunkers are also fair and well maintained.
The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the 19th hole has a great patio overlooking the Nissequogue River where you can have a cocktail after the round.

It overlooks St. James Bay / Stony Brook Harbor, NOT the Nissequogue River. The course is not near the river which is about 1.5 miles from the golf course. Grew up playing this course and it's an absolute hidden gem. That by which all others are measured for me.
