About
Smithtown Landing Golf Club offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole executive course. The courses are open to the public on weekdays and to Smithtown residents on the weekends. The Regulation Course has a surprisingly tough layout with subtle but tricky contours throughout that cause some challenging lies. Mature trees line the fairways, making accuracy a necessity and there are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. At 6,114 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that requires strategy over length, beginning with the first hole. This dogleg right par 4 will force you to carefully think about the placement off the tee. In addition to the two golf courses, Smithtown Landing also has two practice greens with surrounding short game areas and a driving range.

Always Worth the Hour Ride
I gladly drive out to play at Smithtown Landing. It is a great overall golf experience.
Another great day.
I have to remind myself when I play here that this is a municipal course. I sometimes think I am on a private course.
The course is nice , but..
I have played here about 8 times and I will say that the Clubhouse Pub is not a place I would stay and spend money after my round. One time they simply were not open (this was about 10:30 am, and I was hoping to have breakfast)
The next time I wanted to order lunch and I sat at the bar and waited for a very long time before I was told to order from the digital kiosk. I wasted all that time expecting to give my Oder to a human only to be told to go order from a screen. Then, when the food came it was less than appealing. Extremely pedestrian. Unless things have changed don’t waist your time.
A Nice North Shore Surprise
This had just the right amount of challenges for the average golfer with it's sweeping and hilly layout that provided the right amount of challenge and offered some very good risk reward holes..
Slow slow and very slow
No rangers at the course at all. Nobody care about other players behind of them. Every hole, we need to wait for playing golf.
It’s not been doing like these few months before.
They have to send some rangers to keep moving players smoothly. It was horrible experience I’ve played this course since 15 years before.
Prioritize profits over quality
Went twice in a week, both times it was wildly over booked. Our tee time was pushed back 20 mins due to the crowd, we then waited on almost every single hole for 1-2 groups to go. Awful.
Fun Father and Son Day
Course was is great shape. We were paired with a great husband and wife to round out group. Fun but challenging course. Love the terrain.
Hidden public gem
Great layout from start to finish. Excellent condition throughout. Definitely a hidden gem and a great course. Very pleased and will be going back.
Paying customer
They were watering the greens all day long and didn't move as we were hitting on them. Multiple times we hit the hose because the watering guy was oblivious. We informed staff telling them we understand that the greens had to be watered because it was 100 degrees. We said can't he just move while we are hitting up staff was rude and could care less.
