About
Although it is located in Hauppauge on Long Island's North Shore, Wind Watch Golf Club possesses the look and feel of a destination course. Sprawling across a lush, rolling landscape covered with sparkling ponds, the course is as challenging as it is scenic. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes and there are more than 75 bunkers, some of which are massive in size, strategically placed throughout. Almost every hole presents golfers with a unique risk-reward opportunity. The golf course begins and ends at its highest point, which is one of the island's highest elevations. Wind Watch's closing hole provides a memorable finish as the only dogleg on the course. This par 4 takes a sharp left before climbing uphill to the triple-tiered green that is protected by three enormous traps.

Similar to past experiences
Great layout…except the 18th hole…9th green needs to be adjusted. The day we played the greens speed / hole locations made some of the putts laughable. Someone upset the groundskeeper lol

Windwatch - Florida feel on LI
Such a great course! Very well-maintained. The staff is very pleasant. We play here 2-3x a year. We love it! The 10th tee is one of my favorite tee boxes on all of Long Island. Gorgeous. And the houses on the course give it that Florida feel.

Hard but fun
Greens are very fast and sloping. When the wind blows hold on! Lovely track with resort prices

Course was in excellent condition. Greens were super fast but true. Every hole challenging to play in a good way. Except foe #18. Weak golf

Wind Watch 2023
I enjoyed playing the course and it was fairly narrow at times so accuracy is probably important on this course. The only negative I could give and it’s sort of a negative but, It was the greens. It was like putting on cement and several of the holes were like, putting at a carnival where they would put the pin in the middle of an incline/decline.where even if you were below the hole and you putted and you missed, it would roll back to your feet. Lots of sand traps. Overall, I enjoyed the course and probably would be nice to check it out again now having a better idea of the layout but the putting is definitely unrealistic on a handful of holes.
