Wind Watch Golf & Country Club

About
Although it is located in Hauppauge on Long Island's North Shore, Wind Watch Golf Club possesses the look and feel of a destination course. Sprawling across a lush, rolling landscape covered with sparkling ponds, the course is as challenging as it is scenic. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes and there are more than 75 bunkers, some of which are massive in size, strategically placed throughout. Almost every hole presents golfers with a unique risk-reward opportunity. The golf course begins and ends at its highest point, which is one of the island's highest elevations. Wind Watch's closing hole provides a memorable finish as the only dogleg on the course. This par 4 takes a sharp left before climbing uphill to the triple-tiered green that is protected by three enormous traps.

Great Course
The course is great. Several holes have great views of north shore and the conditions were great. Play smart or get oenalized. Not the longest course which made it fun to play.
Great track. Best conditions you’ll get for a public course. Would benefit from a ranger keeping pace of play up. People just don’t rake bunkers which is unfortunate. They need to put back tees back into play.
Great Course
Golf course was in great shape and the pace of play was excellent. Only negative experience was the halfway house was cash only so wasn’t able to buy anything but other then that I had a great time
Beautiful Course that offers multiple challenges
Loved the layout of this course. It’s beautiful. Holes are well kept and the greens are great. Every hole offers something different and challenges you. Only negative I can think of is It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. Can’t wait to play it again.
Beautiful Course
Course was in great shape. Great layout with plenty of water holes making the course play a little more difficult. Great views from some of the holes, being at a high point on the Island. Price was hefty especially during a week day, keeping some high handicap players away I guess. Unfortunately turn around was not open, and after round went to bar to get something to drink and no one was there, hence the 4 stars on amenities. But I felt conditions and layout were worth the price. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t played there yet.
Nice course, fun and interesting
1:10pm tee off. For a Saturday round in NY the pace of play was great. This will be a step up from the other public courses in the area, but I feel the extra amount of money is worth it to enjoy a peaceful round without waiting. Also, the staff is top-notch they will make you feel like you’re playing at a private country club.
Nice course, tons of water throughout. Also some really tough uphill shots.
A very nice golf course
I really enjoyed the layout and challenge. And a great landscaping. The pace of play was great. Looking forward to come back again soon ghis summer.
