About
Although it is located in Hauppauge on Long Island's North Shore, Wind Watch Golf Club possesses the look and feel of a destination course. Sprawling across a lush, rolling landscape covered with sparkling ponds, the course is as challenging as it is scenic. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes and there are more than 75 bunkers, some of which are massive in size, strategically placed throughout. Almost every hole presents golfers with a unique risk-reward opportunity. The golf course begins and ends at its highest point, which is one of the island's highest elevations. Wind Watch's closing hole provides a memorable finish as the only dogleg on the course. This par 4 takes a sharp left before climbing uphill to the triple-tiered green that is protected by three enormous traps.

Course is maintained very well and staff is very friendly and helpful. Course layout is extremely challenging.

Excellent Course and Staff
The course was in excellent condition. Greens are really tough, very fast downhill and very slow uphill. Very courteous staff starts off the day on a high note. Highly recommend playing this course.

Driving range was closed again. This happens too often. I like to warm up a little before a round. Very disappointed.

Laid back
Courses are courses .......wit that said people in the pro shop are douches. These guys are not douches friendly and willing to help

Aerated tee boxes and fillers
Who aerates anything in July? The tee boxes were aerated and filled with something (not sand).
The greens were in good condition.
Pace of play depends on who is in front of you. Took us 2hrs 15 min to play the front, as a twosome. 1.hr 15 min on the back after the foursome ahead of us allowed us to play through.
