beautiful fun course
Rawiga is a challengeing beautiful course. If you are looking for scenic country views and a challenge this is for you. It has a little bit of everything short and long par 3's and 5's tough par 4's and a few easier par 4's. The greens are well maintained and fast.
Raiwga
Not a bad track with some really pretty holes. Greens are firm, and quicker than the practice green. A shorter course, so keep it in the fairway and play from there.
Great Find
Private CC turned public. Out of the way so not crowded.
Beautiful Course
This beautiful course has a fair amount of terrain, which makes it challenging and fun to play. The greens were fast and fair. I am looking forward to playing again soon.
very nice classic course really liked playing it
great time playing this tract...will do it again...
A very nice course that was well maintained.
As a senior golfer, I look for courses that can challenge me (well, all courses challenge me) but I look for a course that gives me a choice from different tees to challenge me. I chose the senior tees. There were a few holes that were short enough from the senior tees that I was excited that I had a chance to eagle. However, I found enough trouble to cause me to bogey or double bogey and have me scratching my head, and asking myself, "How did I double bogey such an easy hole?" Then I realized that even though, from the senior tees, the hole may have been short, it was not easy, and I did not play the hole smart enough.
This was the first time that I played this course. The weather was not great: it was cool and rainy. I was not thrilled with my score. However, I was thrilled with this golf course, and this is a golf course that I will look forward to playing in the future.
However, be forewarned, they switched their nines some time ago. Your GPS may have hole number one as hole number 10.
A wonderful golf course. I highly recommend it.
Course was in excellent condition condiering our current weather conditions.
Crowned greens made chipping & putting difficult. Be prepared for some 3 putt greens, but the course was really fun for 18 handicapper to play.
Great layout
Wonderful course will play more next year.
Can't believe only opened in 1959.Looks like a much older course wilt a great layout.
CHALLENGING AND AN "EXCEPTIONAL" VALUE.
MY WIFE AND I PLAYED THE COURSE ON 9/7 AND IT WAS IN WONDERFUL SHAPE. AS ADVERTISED THE GREENS ARE "CROWNED", SO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH APPROACH SHOTS OR THEY WILL 'RUN OFF' THE GREEN. NOT MUCH WATER BUT THE ELAVATION CHANGES AND ROLLING NATURE OF THE COURSE MAKES IT CHALLENGING SINCE THERE ARE FEW "FLAT" LIES. THE GREENS ARE FAST, BUT TRUE AND IN "PRISTINE" CONDITION. ALL IN ALL A GREAT VALUE AND WORTH THE RETURN TRIP WE WILL SOON MAKE WITH FRIENDS.
GREAT SHAPE; GREAT VALUE, FUN COURSE; A GOOD CHALLENGE
ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE COURSES. I HAVE PLAYED HERE FOR 50 YEARS; ALWAYS A HIGH POINT OF MY SEASON.
Great layout. Nice greens and fairways. Rough is rough.
I like this course. You can definitely tell that it's course designer had a country club in mind. It's an average length course with Ladies at 4900, 6400 from mid Men's tees and 6700 from the tips. The challenge is that your tee shots usually end on an uphill or downhill lie. Make sure you have confidence with these shots, you get a lot of them. Greens are virtually spotless. Fairways are green and maintained bent grass. The rough has some dead spots. Some tee boxes are barren. This only complaint I'd have. From Canton, roads are a maze, so bring your GPS and some patience. Not busy. Good Value. Deserves more players.
This course is the best!
The staff is real friendly the course is in pristine condition and we play it quite often. We love it and recommended highly!
A great golf course at a great value
This is an awesome course. It is challenging, conditions are some of the best I've seen all year. played Pine Hills the day before and it was in great shape, but this course is better than that and a little of half the cost. gonna go back when the leaves change color.
Tough Green Complexes
You will have many different lies, uphill, downhill, sidehill to challenge your game. The rough was cut at a very manageable height. The greens and approaches is what will really challenge your game. Most of the greens are crowned with about the outside 5 to 6 feet of each green guaranteed to repel your ball to the fringe or worse. Hole #16 is a true 3 shot par 5.
great value
very impressed by this course. check it out. only complaint is some of the holes are too close to each other, but honestly im digging deep to come up with something negative here. greens dont hold much so approach shots must be true.
Very nice course
We teed off a bit late due to a high school tournament finishing up a bit late, most probably due to weather. However, once we started, we played a very enjoyable 3 1/2 hour round. Very nice course that is fair to all levels of golfers. When dry weather conditions prevail, the small undulating greens will provide a challenge.
Fast greens!!
Dome greens need bump n runs!!
Although you hit a decent shot ..
If you don't/can't check it up ,three wacks are upon you
Course was a lot of fun greens where very challanging
Very nice course, Greens where very challanging. Fun had to use a lot of different clubs.
Tight course with small, table-top greens
Short, tight course that doesn't require driver on a lot of Par 4's and 5's. Small, table-top greens with good complexes but don't hold all that well; tough to spin the ball at all. One green was rather diseased. Overall, pace of play was excellent and conditioning was above average.
My issue is with the maintenance staff.
We really enjoyed playing this course. It is not the hardest course in the world. Every hole is pretty straight forward. There are tricky elevations where the ball is above or below your feet seemingly at all times. It is well taken care off. However on at least three holes, there was maintenance staff on fairways and greens actually getting in our way while we were playing and they didn't care to look that we were there or even try to quickly get out of the way. This is why I took this rating down 2 stars.
