Chippewa Golf Club

About
Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown sits just a few minutes south of Akron. It's one of the area's most popular public courses. Opened in 1962, the golf course has a traditional layout that sprawls across rolling hills. The undulating landscape provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is key since mature trees frame most of the holes and the massive, contoured greens also present a challenge. If you can keep it in the fairway, there are some great birdie opportunities on the par 5s. Overall, Chippewa Golf Club is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy with the exception of the treacherous 14th, 15th, and 16th holes. This trio, nicknamed the "Bermuda Triangle," will test the putting skills of even the best golfers.

Great course
Great course love playing here. Would be nice if they had cart girls otherwise amazing place to play
Scott's review
Very nice conditions. The tea boxes, fairways, and greens were all immaculate. They might have been the largest greens I've ever seen. The three holes on the back nine as some people refer to as the Bermuda triangle were very interesting
Great course
Chippewa is one of the nicest most well kept courses in the area and cheaper than some of the not so nice courses as well
Best public course i’ve played
For the price you can’t beat the value. The course was in great shape, packed on a Sunday afternoon and we still moved along smoothly. Staff were friendly and courteous. Would 10/10 recommend and will absolutely be going back for future rounds.
Great track! Love everything about this course.
Only bad thing was lack of a ranger. I know back 9 is harder but no reason for a 3 1/2 hour back nine when front was 2 hours. It was 2 foursomes that needed to be talked to by a ranger, but saw none. 30 minutes behind on our gps.
Best around
As far as public golf goes in NE OHIO this is tough to beat, unless you're paying nearly $100 to play. Excellent weekend value, greens very true and in incredible shape. The fairways are country club like in that you could putt on most are so tight and well-manicured. The pace of play was excellent, finished in under 2 hours on the front nine. The back was a tad slower, but it is considerably tougher.
FIVE STARS, MUST PLAY!
Management time
The wife and j were suppose to play 18. After finishing the front 9. We go to make the turn and they have 2 leagues going off the back. So they said either play the front 9 again or take a refund. But if they had any common sense they would of sent earlier golfers off the back so everyone could play 18 front and back but golf courses are greedy and we squeeze ever dollar they can.
Better use of time.
Wife and I went and played yesterday noon. Course was great condition. We played the front 9 about to make the turn and have have 2 leagues going off the back. Now just my opinion if you have 2 leagues going off the back at 430. Wouldn't you send your earlier golfers off the back 1st and than play the front on the turn. Thats just makes common sense to me but instead they refund people who didnt want to play the front again. Who knows how much money they lost.
One of the best courses in NE Ohio
The condition, the layout, the pace of play, the carts, all immaculate. Just go and play it if you haven't already. This course is country club level quality.
Nice Course
This is a nice course!
