Chippewa Golf Club
About
Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown sits just a few minutes south of Akron. It's one of the area's most popular public courses. Opened in 1962, the golf course has a traditional layout that sprawls across rolling hills. The undulating landscape provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is key since mature trees frame most of the holes and the massive, contoured greens also present a challenge. If you can keep it in the fairway, there are some great birdie opportunities on the par 5s. Overall, Chippewa Golf Club is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy with the exception of the treacherous 14th, 15th, and 16th holes. This trio, nicknamed the "Bermuda Triangle," will test the putting skills of even the best golfers.

Country club course, awesome condition
Really amazed at the course condition, from tee to green, as good as most country clubs I’ve played. Greens were just incredibly maintained and relatively flat so made putting consistent. Front nine just a bit more receptive to scoring, back nine will test your skill for sure. Look toward to playing again soon!
Slow pace
I went mid week mid day and the carts were backed up from the first hole. The course is well kept and holes range from par 3 to 5. I only played 9 and by the time I left there were 8 carts waiting at hole one. Two hours to play 9 holes. I would go back but hope the tee times are better.
SLOW PLAY, as always.
Guys that can'r walk fast should not be allowed to play golf. Guys that pull the pin to putt should not be allowed to play golf.
Nice course
Tough to rate as it was very very wet. Course tried to accommodate as best they could.
Too slow
I probably won't come back. It is always so painfully slow. The tee box area is run by kids and is total chaos, no communication whatsoever. I think someone just snuck in front of us No organization. Had a late tee time and because the course was over packed and so slow we only were able to play 16 holes before dark. This was not a good experience and I feel cheated.
Overall had a great time. Course is in really good shape for the time of year. There were a few fun holes that forced you to make decisions between safe and risky and there was almost no one else out on the course. Most of the course doesn’t have cart paths so if it’s wet there are no golf carts at all. The guy in the pro shop let me have a push cart for free due to this, though.
Top notch Ohio conditions
First time playing, we all did have a frost delay. Ohio golf. Course was in incredible condition, wow. Layout is fantastic. We had a blast. Did get paired up with a guy claiming to be a +4 handicap who then shot a 130. Weird situation to be in but, that’s just humor. Course is amazing, go play it. We can’t wait to go back. Came from Youngstown.
Great course
Great course love playing here. Would be nice if they had cart girls otherwise amazing place to play
Scott's review
Very nice conditions. The tea boxes, fairways, and greens were all immaculate. They might have been the largest greens I've ever seen. The three holes on the back nine as some people refer to as the Bermuda triangle were very interesting
