Rawiga Golf Club

First time playing here since my teens 20 years ago. Course and clubhouse definitely need some TLC, alot of the ball washers were barely working and had really nasty water in them. Greens were in good shape, fairways were decent, tee boxes had a lot of divots. This is a very hilly, un level course winding through woods and many OB with water and heavy brush. Would not recommend for someone looking for a simple up and down type course. The par 3’s are long and the greens on all holes are fairly small and surrounded by bunkers. Staff was friendly and the price is good for what it is.

Course conditions were above average. Our group enjoyed the course. 2 in our group had not played here. Pace of play was decent. Starter didn’t monitor when groups tee’d off. We did not start at our assigned tee time. Overall, would recommend.

This course was very nice and the price was even better but we had a lot of problems with other golfers yelling and screaming throughout the entire course. I understand golf is amazingly fun and sometimes you get excited but this was just people who were yelling for no reason and did not care about anyone else’s game. They need someone monitoring the course and I would of given this five stars across the board.

Good track .. tees are getting a little chewed up but overall course in good shape ..

A very scenic course with ample bunkers, water and challenges throughout the course. Definitely will come back with more people! Best value for your bucks.

Service throughout the clubhouse to behind the food counter was terrific.

Long and narrow. Fairways were nice (when I hit them!)

Historically fine layout. Sadly, there clearly is little attention being paid to course conditions, especially the greens. I cannot remember so many untended pitch marks. Not only from the current day, but from several prior days. Fairways conditioning is highly inconsistent

We did play on a busy day. No ranger was ever seen to help play along.

It should be noted that the staff we interacted with were extremely pleasant.

I used to really enjoy this course, not anymore. Green side bunkers are not maintained, greens are too hard to hold most iron shots even with. Spin. We had 2 sets of twosome s in front of us - very new golfers. They were hitting multiple terrible shots , yhden driving carts all ovet including doubling Jack toward us to play. Cadets parked in front of greens. When we reported it after the round commented” yeah idiot’s “. Btw- no Rangers. Too bad-great track gone bad

Played this course as part of a golf trip to/around the Cleveland area in late May 2023. This course was included on our itinerary based on its listing as a Top Course by Golf Advisor.

PACE: The 4some ahead of us paced us to a 2+ hour front 9. They let us play thru on #10 (Thank you!), and we finished the back in 1hr 15 min. The layout of this course (and trees) probably leads to many 4+ hour rounds.

CONDITIONS: Tee boxes were okay... some divots and patchy spots. Fairways and rough were good. Bunkers were really good. The greens are fast and their edges are bottle-capped... so enjoy watching your overzealous pitch shots roll right off the green!

STAFF: Friendly and helpful. Didn't see a starter or ranger on a Saturday morning... found that to be different.

VALUE: Very fairly priced course.

LAYOUT: Played the White tees (6,300). Hole #1 is not a warm handshake... it's an aggressive play up a steep hill. After that, the property flattens out for the most part. The front 9 has few fun short par 4s, and both par 5 are long and well tree-lined. The back 9 plays the same, except the stretch of 15 thru 17... that's fun! Hole #16 is a well deserved 1 handicap!

Read online that Rawiga was purchased by the Veteran's Cemetery next door, and the course may not be around 10 years from now. Given it's classic architecture, playability, and challenge I'll have to try to play it again before that day comes.
