Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Wonderful course!
This was my first time playing Roses Run and it will most certainly not be my last! I had a noon tee time and opted to play the back first since I was playing alone. I didn’t see one golfer on the entire back nine which was great! I was at total peace on the course! Missed an ace on 17 by 4 inches, so close! Front nine was pretty slow bc of all the groups but nothing out of the ordinary. This course was in great shape for this early in the year and the layout is one of my new favorites In the area! I highly recommend this course to anyone!
Covid-19 affects review
Not enough carts so everyone had up to an hour delay. Let too many groups off late ( in between others). Course needs work compared to others in the area.
Not Managing the CV-19 issue well
The course booked t times without nearly enough carts. They didn’t stick to the t-times and let some groups with latter t times out before those waiting. Then they changed their “policy” and started letting people jump the schedule and walk the course, starting around 2:45 pm. Bottom line, you take people’s money and book a t time, ensure they go off in order.
And don’t book T times when you KNOW you won’t have enough carts. Bottom line, our 1:20 t time didn’t happen until 3:45pm. And then we had to play through a dozen walking the course and the slowest play I’ve ever seen. We finished on 18 at 7:45pm. And we played as fast as we possible could.
In summary, Roses Run should increase greens fees enough to eliminate the cargo shorts and BYOB crowd. They’ll get good golfers who can play on pace and have some money to fix up the course.
Very sorry, The reason that we were behind time We had a 2 and a 1/2 hour delay Because of frost We will be putting a lot of money into the golf course this year , New sod is coming to fix all greens and tee boxes and redoing all the sand traps Hopefully we will see you later on in the year
Very nice
Obviously very windy in the open but other than that it wad a perfect time .
Great course at this time of year!
Got a great hot deal price for 18 holes, course was in nice condition for this time of year! Could have done without the rain though lol.
Love this course!
This time of year the course conditions are expected to be poor so can’t really comment on them. The course layout is very challenging and I usually play every club in the bag at this course. Scenery is great. Has a very country club atmosphere to it.
Nice course.. glad I chose Roses Run
For the middle of January in Cleveland ... 50 degrees sunny... great day for golf. The course was is great shape ... I will play this course again.
nice place
We went after it rained so grounds were a little soggy. Not the courses fault of course. Greens were in great shape so as much water was around.
beautiful day for golf
Course was in pretty good shape this time of year, a little
muddy in spots that were blocked off, but it was a nice day to play.
Love the front, hate most of the back
Front is nice layout with multiple doglegs, back not as much, 10 and 18 are good holes, The rest are either non discript or just tight target golf. Practice range has been let go, looks like the rough at Carnoustie.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Roses Run Country Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
One of my new favorites
This course has some challenging holes and has more sand than most of the public courses I’ve played. The course is in very good condition with true, green fairways and greens. Nice paved cart path. Bring a few golf balls.
great shape there are some really interesting hole layout including some reachable par-5 hardly anyone plays this chorus so the pace of play is always excellent and the course is very underused to the condition is always fantastic
It’s like a sore d......
You just can’t beat it! played here in April and it was rough, stayed away until late August and then have played Sunday/Monday last week and Saturday/Sunday this week. It’s not top tier, but the course allows for use of almost all the clubs in your bag & will reach up and kick you in the taint quick. they don’t force you to play with strangers (even if you signed up for the same tee time), you can finish a midday Saturday round in >5hrs and 2 days of golf with a hotdog/chips at the turn will run you $65 dollars total. I’ll see you this weekend Roses!
No way
Terrible layout greens need work tee box’s are like their hard traps

Nice day
Pace of play was excellent.. no one on the course probably because of the Browns playing .. usually the course is moderately busy. The driving needs some updating. Pro shop is well stocked and good selection. Food at snack bar is good. The greens needs some help... Lots of rough patches....not very fast and bumpy. The tee boxes were in rough shape... No level, holes I don't think they were even cut... They look like rough instead of short cut tee box in spots. Fairways are in good shape. Bunkers need some help and sand.
Overall, nice course but needs some work in spots
Roses Run - Great golfing
The course was very well kept. Some holes were extremely challenging and some odd. enjoyed it. Will play it again. Played 18 so I didn’t find out about the off course amenities
