Golf Advisor: Top 25 Courses for Pace of Play in the U.S. (2021 #12)
Reviews
Great every time!!
Now have golfed 3x on this course and it is great every time!! Without rain the course has been beautifully maintained. The only complaint I can honestly find is the tree maintenance could be better - slightly overgrown making play tight - extreme on some holes but I personally love the challenge so no issues here for me there. Staff is great and play is great - best value near me as well. See you soon!
Wet track but great layout
This appears to be a mom & pop operation that is well worth playing and great value for the money. The day I played it was cart path only because the course was still waterlogged from all the rain but the tee boxes and greens were in excellent condition. I’m sure once it drys up and the fairways are mowed probably it would be even better.
Tight track, fun layout, but well worth playing.
Great course for just golf!
Small little clubhouse without much but the staff is fantastic. Pace of play is great and the course has a great hole layout to keep it that way regardless who's infront or behind!!! The holes are pretty close to each other, but open with good hazard play. Went 2 days after a huge rain and drainage could be better but a solid course for the price!!! Will come back soon.
Consistently good
Friendly staff. Pace has been solid every time I have gone. Reasonable prices. Great local place that never disappoints
Mixed
Nice mom and pops type couse that challenges your accuracy off the tee...really small green. Back 9 need a little love with the vegetation, tree trimming. Entire course could use a good grass cutting. Green were in great condition and rolled smooth.
Overall, a descent course to play for a practice with a few challenging holes.
Hidden gem
This course is so nice for the price! The greens are very nice and fairways are Very nice and not burnt! Will be playing here a lot
Great value
I’ve played this course 4 times this summer and fallen in love with it. Great layout on this shotmaker’s course with fantastic greens. My only issues are 3 holes on the back... 10 is so dry and burned out that half the green on this long par 4 cannot be hit onto because it’s concrete, and the whole area around the same hole is concrete/bare grass where there should be a collection area and rough....it makes a long/medium iron shot impossible. Then on 11, they need to remove/trim back some trees which can make the hole unplayable, especially for lefties. 17 is a ‘golf in a hallway’ hole with overgrown trees which needs a rethink - possibly cutting back trees and changing/updating the green complex to defend it, otherwise a decent player can just hit two 9 irons and make birdie, like I did today. LOVE this course...and if you fix those 3 holes it goes from a B+ to an A/A+ course. A true gem!
A great time
My brother and nephew came in from Indiana so I took them to Willow Creek. They enjoyed the course very much and the staff were very friendly. Course was in very good shape and had a great time.
Well
It’s an ok course. The tee boxes and greens were in very good shape...the fairways not so much....but never played there before and found it somewhat challenging
Good greens
Greens were in good shape, most tees and fairways pretty rough. Glad I saw the course (first time playing) but won’t rush to get back as it is a bit of a drive for me. We didn’t enjoy some of the ultra short holes and “silly” doglegs.
Good people
Staff is always cordial and accommodating unlike the staff at Hilliard Lakes
