Kings Mill Golf Club

The Mill, as we call it, is a shorter course, but has some challenges to deal with. The new owner is putting in a lot of effort to make it one of the most enjoyable courses in the area. Add to that a new picturesque covered bridge and you have a course that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well. Some of the improvements are an ongoing project, but they don't affect playability.

course was in decent shape and , greens were in better than average shape. Not very difficult or long in general but they made up for the lack of difficulty with maybe 4 good holes tight through trees, very fast and tricky greens, and unfortunately 4 really goofy stupidly laid out holes on the back side

Golf course was wet and had standing water but considering the torrential downpours we had the last 3 days it was a wonder they were open at all. Took my son out for our first round of the season so we were terrible. I wish they had a driving range that we could have spent some time get our swing in shape. Course is not a Muirfield but if you want to play at a very reasonable price without having another group breathing down your neck this is the place. Would go again.

The wind was quite a factor, although the temp was way above normal for February. There were no hole markers or tee markers on the entire course, which was a pain in the butt, but beggars can't be choosers this time of the year.

We had a great round, and the staff is always very accomodating.

My girl friend and I both enjoyed the course. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. We will definitely be back even though it is an hours drive there!

Carts were old, slow, and had no windshields which made for a bad experience when it began to rain. Fairways and rough were patchy, hard, and not mown tight at all. Greens were in good condition, yet had a very wide range of speed from green to green. That being said, played for a great price at 1:30 on a Thursday- never waited, and had nobody behind us. Finished 18 in under 4 hours. Course was good for beginners as most holes were short. Unique layout, didn't feel too much like a "back-and-forth" course. Some decent views- my particular favorites were the 3rd hole and the 15th tee shot. Would play again as the price was great and there aren't too many options here in Marion.

I really enjoyed playing this course and look forward to playing it again.

no water on the course, no ball cleaners, sand traps a disaster---that said greens were in good shape for this early in the spring

I think the course layout will challenge anyone to hit every club in the bag and makes you think off the tee (if you want). Only one Par 5 on each nine and the second Par 5 is a challenge if you have never played the course before. Number 3 was my favorite hole and number 12 was my least. Number 3 is a lovely downhill par 3 with a brand new wooden bridge behind it, (looks amazing from the tee). Number 12 is a downhill par 4 that I just struggled with (narrow fairway).

Course conditions are average plus. The maintenance dogs are not to be messed with; they will run at you and bark. Not friendly, as a local golfer told me, have an iron in your hands at all times when the dogs are out.

Would play again if the Delaware courses are busy but would not go out of my way to play here. Not horrible but just not what I prefer.

Great course, great staff, beautiful scenery! Will play it every chance I get.

Had not played this course in a couple of years and it was challenging in the wind and damp conditions. The few remaining leaves on the ground and the greens made it a little tough to find your ball along with the glare from the afternoon sun. The course was very playable and there was more play due to the holiday and the nice fall day. The staff here is always friendly and helpful and this was the first time I had used Golf Now to book a tee time. It was very easy and a good value. I was playing for the first time this year but it made me realize how much I enjoy golf and I hope to be back to this course again soon.

Tried to sneak a round in during the middle of November. Some guy scolded me on the course for driving too close the greens. The course was in horrible condition and there were cart marks much closer than i ever was. Tried to explain that to him and got a rude response. Pretty much ruined the round. Ive played some of the finer courses in Ohio and have never been treated in such a manner. You would think that they would be happy with any business they get considering the time of year and the course conditions.

Staff is very accomidating and friendly. I liked the variety in topography and the openness. Good experience.

The holes on back 9 from 13-16 are not playable due to reseeding.
Other than that, staff members were very friendly and would definitely recommend to play here. The leaves on the green has been an issue now that Fall is here though.

Had some major flood damage but course is being reseeded and should be back soon.

The front nine was in great shape. The back nine seemed to be pieced together. The holes on back nine down by river were a mess. It was evident that they had been flooded. All dirt, little or no grass, and really poorly laid out. It was almost like the course started out as a nine hole and the back nine was added later. No rhyme or reason to layout. Number 17 was really strange.

Has recently been flooded out and is not in good shape. Has lots of potential though
