Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Pace of Play out of control
Slowest round of golf I have ever played. Quit after 7 holes and 2 & 1/2 hours, zero enforcement for pace of play. Ranger drove past a group of 8 multiple times with nothing happening. Unfortunate because the course is in good shape and has a nice layout. Will probably not be back though, completely unenjoyable.
Beyond slow
Had to skip holes on the front nine and only ended up playing 7/9. Still took 2.5hours. Just beyond slow. Had to pass a group of 8 along the way.
Very nice for a public course…especially the greens.
Don’t know if I’ll be back due to the pace of play
Great course
I was told by the guy that answered the phone when booking that the fairways were wide and the greens were undulating. He was correct on both. The course is in excellent condition and the greens were probably smoothest and best rolling greens. I put it on a couple years. Some nice elevation changes, several dog legs and nice views. I encountered three staff members and all were very congenial and helpful. I highly recommend this course. I am already planning a return trip.
Womderful day of golf
I am in town for family matters and read good things about Becket Ridge and decided to give it a chance. First impression was wow! It's a good looking course! I was a single and I request to be paired with another group or single if possible. The starter paired me with another single for the round. The course was in great shape! But like the review says " stay in the fairway", finding a ball in the rough is almost impossible. This only made playing the course more challenging! It was a busy day but slower groups allowed us to play through; this allowed us to complete our round just under 4 hours. Course was 90°. Impressive since there were perioda of rain the says prior. I didnt purchase anything from the anack bar. Thw entiee staff was friendly and professional. I will deffintly return for another round on my next visit to the area, using Tee-off is the way to a great deal on this and othwr courses in the area! Although I didn't purchase anything from the snack bar but it was clean and had a wonderful aroma The entire staff was very professional and friendly.
Go 55
Cart only rule not welcome sinceist a wide fairway and and wide rough area despite hard surfaces.
Highly Recommended
I’m a big fan of Beckett Ridge Golf Course and the staff. The course is always in great shape, challenging, and in my opinion, priced right. Additionally, the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I’ve been shooting here a few time per week this season with no signs of slowing down.
Beautiful Course, but…
My dear lord the pace of play… rough is ridiculously deep, hit fairways
A Constantly Evolving Course in Excellent Condition
I recently had the pleasure of playing at Beckett Ridge Golf Club again, and once again, I was very impressed. The condition of the course is exceptional. The fairways were immaculate, the greens fast and well-maintained, and the bunkers perfectly raked. You can tell the maintenance team puts in a lot of effort and dedication to keep the course in optimal condition for a great day of golf. I’m
In addition to the excellent condition of the course, I find the price to be very reasonable for the quality of the experience Beckett Ridge offers. You feel like you get great value for your money, especially considering the level of course care and the facilities.
But what truly makes me appreciate each visit to Beckett Ridge is that I always find some improvement or new feature that enhances the experience. Whether it's a renovation in the clubhouse, improvements to the cart paths, or even small details on the course that make the game more enjoyable, there's always something new that demonstrates the club's commitment to continuous improvement and the satisfaction of its players.
In summary, Beckett Ridge Golf Club remains one of my favorite courses to play regularly. Its excellent condition, fair price, and that pleasant surprise of always finding something new make each round a positive and memorable experience. I highly recommend it to golfers of all skill levels!
Overall good
It was my first time. Unfortunately it was really windy. I feel like the course was challenging enough, but with the wind it was extremely tough. I’d love to play again when weather is better.
Average
I played Beckett over the past 5 years and it was always somewhat challenging. Some players have a difficult time which slows down play.
Pros: Nice new cart path, carts and clubhouse.
Cons: Geese droppings-hole 15 gee wiz and others. But 15 was awful around the green.. Tired of the cart notice because we were off track and running behind. Turn the thing off.
In great shape
In great shape as it has been lately. Last summer was the best I’ve seen it. Fun course and now it’s in great condition. Club house they built is nothing fancy. Least the money went into the course. Hope it stays this way
Great value for the winter season
Beckett Ridge Country Club offers a well-maintained course with a fun and friendly layout that caters to golfers of all skill levels. The fairways and greens are in great shape, making for an enjoyable round of golf. The design provides a good mix of challenge and playability, ensuring that both casual and experienced golfers can have a great time.
That said, there are a few areas for improvement. During the winter season, the tee markers are missing, which can make it slightly confusing when setting up for each hole. Additionally, the carts had some technical issues—despite adhering to the cart path-only rule, they would occasionally stall, indicating that we were off the path when we weren’t. This led to some frustrating moments. Another downside is the lack of a driving range, which limits warm-up options before a round.
The pace of play was average, with our round taking about four hours to complete, which is fairly standard. While there are a few minor inconveniences, the overall experience at Beckett Ridge is positive, thanks to the quality of the course and its inviting layout. If you’re looking for a solid round of golf in the area, it’s worth a visit—just be prepared for a few quirks along the way.
