Beckett Ridge Golf Club

About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Pretty Good
I hadn't played Beckett Ridge in years and received a gift certificate and played there. it was pretty good. I like the course layout and gives you a chance to use all the clubs in the bag. There is no practice "driving" range. The tee boxes are in pretty bad condition.
Review
Greens ultra fast but true. Price i paid was a hot deal, not sure i would pay regular price though.
Course was in very good shape
Better than expected
The course under new ownership is much nicer than described in older reviews. I was matched up with a local and had a great round. I’d recommend it for anyone in the area or anyone that hasn’t been in a few years.
This is not a $69.00 course. $6.50 for a small hot dog is also too much. Looks like they are trying to pay for the new clubhouse and course work as soon as possible. This course used to be priced accordingly but no more. If your going to pay these prices there are much prettier and better shape courses near by.
Improved from 3 years ago
Course conditions have improved fairways are nice and lush rough not too bad however areas around the green past the rough are barren dirt. Played the yellow tee's, difficulty finding a flat tee box. Course is very hilly greens are very fast. $60 midweek in the fall seems a bit much.
It’s a good course with one issue
Played 9 yesterday at Beckett Ridge, probably my 5th this year, the Course Marshall barked at my playing partner and I to “pick up the pace, we got em’ packed and stacked behind you.” The funny thing is, the course’s own GPS said we were 1, yes one minute behind. I get that slow play is annoying but people behind you playing speed golf is even worse. I would advise them to check all the paces before confronting anyone. Otherwise I recommend playing there.
Thank You Zach Fink
I would like to publicly thank Zach Fink, who was the Beckett Ridge Golf Course GM and renowned area golf pro. He took the course, which had gone into disrepair, and through much hard work brought it back to a level the Beckett Ridge community can be proud of. You are the BEST, Zach, and as a homeowner on the course, there are not enough words to express our thanks for everything you've done! I wish and pray only for the best for your future. And it is definitely an understatement to say we will miss you.

Mixed bag, good layout, TOO pricey!
I've played a few times, and even with the new clubhouse, it's still over-priced. There are some challenges with some of the course conditions, but like most courses these days, they focus on fairways and greens, and perhaps neglect roughs and tee boxes and common areas a bit. The front nine is mediocre, with hole 9 having overhead wires awkwardly in play. The back 9 is much nicer, in my opinion, with a beautiful and very challenging layout. Of the dozens of courses in the area, this one is in the bottom half, mostly because the price just doesn't match the overall golf experience.
Value for the price
We had a great time playing the course. It was my first time. The carts were new and the club house was nice. Greens were average and the course was in good shape. The tee boxes on some holes were pretty bad. But overall it was good. I was told the pro shop and bar area are new.
Now in this area $56 on a Wednesday during day play for a round of golf? On a course in this condition? I play 4 days a week at different courses in the Springfield, Dayton, Middle Town, Hamilton and Cincinnati area. The price to play this course is the highest I’ve paid for this caliber of course in this area or any of the areas mentioned.
So to be brutally honest until they get their prices inline with the other courses in the area of the same caliber…. I won’t be back to play. There are many other courses that are a much better value for money.
