Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

Great Public Course
Have played there many times, and this was by far the best pace we have had. It was early on a Tuesday morning. Most weekends can get pretty busy, and they seem to pack everyone in. The course is in great condition, and with the addition of the large covered patio overlooking the 1st T-box, I can see taking advantage of that for a cold drink after a round.
Nice Course
I really enjoy playing this course. Staff is always friendly. As everyone knows golf is getting super expensive. But I found that there are pretty good deals here. The course is pretty flat. Most of the holes are lined with trees, but have plenty of room to drive the ball. I find the course to be fair and challenging. You would definitely enjoy a round here.
Looking
Monday must be mowing day grass was a little high making it a little hard to find balls in the ruff.
Frost delay, no refund.
Course wouldnt write a rain check for 18 on a 2 hour frost delay… Golf Now wont refund the tee time either. Make sure you check the weather before booking and have $100 stolen.
Good
Course was great. Really enjoyed.. 4.50 for hotdogs a little high. Otherwise fantastic.
Food
How can one justify charging $4.50 for small hot dog? Other than food pricing this place is awesome.
Well cared for but slow and narrow
First off, the folks at the clubhouse, cart pickup, and first tee were great! The course has some challenge as it is a tightly packed with narrow fairways. Not bad, but not a course to play if you are having issues off the tee. The course was well maintained and the grass was very nice for a February in Ohio. All grass was well mowed. Better than a lot of courses I have played in the area. The course was fun and easy to follow. The carts have built in GPS so that was a nice and unexpected bonus. Just be prepared for tight fairways and any mishit will end up on another fairway or two. Also, ears open for FORE as well as people walking into your fairway as you tee off. Both of which happened multiple times while out there. I never got to check out the food was as we never had time to hit the commissary as the lag in play took far too long for any breaks.
Problems on the course... tee times were overloaded. Back to back like a shotgun start at a scramble. Walkers mixed in with carts. There were 10-15 min waits at the first 5-6 tee boxes. The highway noise was terrible. The first few holes was nothing other than loud interstate noise. Couldn't hear the others in my group talk without having to raise voices. We ended the day with an almost 6 hour round.
The weather was great and I was happy to be out on a course. I know though, I will not return as it was not a relaxing round. A lot like riding a motorcycle in rush hour traffic on an interstate. Eyes and ears open and head on a turret.
Fun course
The course has a good layout with a lot of variety and is stayed in good condition. The only thing is that they schedules tee times very close so if you go on a busy day the round is 5+ hours
Really good condition
I’ve played over 10 courses the past few weeks, public and private, the course conditions were the best shape of them all. Greens were perfect
