Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

Really good condition
I’ve played over 10 courses the past few weeks, public and private, the course conditions were the best shape of them all. Greens were perfect
Slow Pace and Dodging Balls
we were two groups deep waiting at a tee box most of the day. The layout left us dodging balls from other tee boxes.
I like slower pace so wasn't miffed with waiting a little. Greens were cleated up quite a bit. Let's pick our feet up out there people
Greencrest
Course is in real good shape compared to this time last year.
First Time Playing Here
Nice course. Not too difficult. People were friendly. Didn't like getting paired with two other golfers who were very nice but played at the slowest speed I've ever seen.
Highly recommended
I thought the course was well maintained. We played the back 9 which, was fairly challenging as there are lots of obstacles such as bunkers, water, and trees. The pace of play left a little to be desired as we were not able to tee off at our scheduled time due to what seemed like an over abundance of bunched together tee times. If I remember correctly, it was 20 min past our scheduled tee time before we were finally able to tee off the 10th hole. Additionally, it was somewhat slow play from there on. To be fair, it was probably the nicest day of the summer which I’m sure had something to do with it as every course tends to crowd up when the weather is perfect. I will admit that the price to golf 9 with a cart was reasonable as there are several courses close by that are more expensive but not as well maintained. I will certainly golf there again.
Four hours for nine holes
I have never been to a slower golf course in my life. I will never be back. I would rather play in someone’s pasture because quite frankly it would be fast. I have never seen people play from the front teeth and take 22 shots to get onto a part three yet this is the type of people you’re playing with.
As good as I’ve seen it
Greens fairways are in very good shape. Played it many times and this is as good as it has ever been (thanks for all the rain). A challenging layout from blue or black enjoyed the day
Trees
The course is in overall bad condition. However what truly makes it horrible to play is the trees. They are way overgrown to the point where there are multiple holes in which u can be on the fairway and still have no way to make it to the green because the trees stuck out so far.
