The Country Club of Arkansas

This course used to be well kept for the most part. Yes the geese have always been a problem but oh well. Now it’s just gone downhill. Almost every hole has issues. Unfortunately, it’s mostly the greens. They are aware of it and trying to fix it, but charging the prices they are is not worth it. It is essentially a country club only by name now, because they definitely do not have country club quality. Hopefully these issues can be fixed soon.

The Nematode had made its presence known! They were trying to patch the greens, but they were lost ! Hope they get them restored. This could be a great course.

It should be a crime for this place to call itself a country club. The course is in horrible condition. They have completely loss their greens. Many of the greens were straight dirt and mud mixed with a combination of grasses. The course is built in a swamp so it stays super wet and is covered in goose poop. I can say with 100% confidence I will not be coming back. I now know why they make you prepay the green fee online when you book your tee-time. Because no one would pay $50 for this dump once they arrived and seen what the practice green and #18 green looked like.

Played here before and it’s a great track, but currently all greens are shot. The greens have either huge dirt areas, new sod squares quilted in, thick layer of sand or some combination of all of these. What’s worse is that they don’t have these conditions on their website, they don’t tell you at check in and will still charge you full price for the worst greens I have ever played on.

We arrived to find them wrapping up a tournament and it was a bit chaotic. Lady behind the counter was a little short on the courtesy & friendliness. Basically gave me the sign for cart and get the heck out. At no point did they say they’ve lost their greens and they’d patched them with small squares or sod. Greens look like they were sewn together like an quilt. Overall it’s in worse condition than some of the surrounding public courses and I felt the price was a bit much. I’d give it two thumbs down right now. Time will tell though, it’s been a great course in the past.

Needs a complete overhaul done on the greens. Love the layout and location. If I could suggest anything, it would be to use the profits from the 1000 ads you get come across the cart screen to fix the course.

Fairways are for the most part in very good condition and drainage has been improved. Unfortunately a number of greens has suffered and are being restored with new turf. There are some greens that are in very good condition. When the damaged greens are restored the course will be very good!

Currently the greens appear to be undergoing some major renovations. I wouldn’t recommend playing here for the current price until after the greens are done.

Get it together. Course management needs to find another place to work.

Some greens are being repaired, but tee boxes and fairways were in good condition. The course has some great water hazards and bunkers. I really like playing here.

Greens were in the worst shape I have ever seen them. New sod laid on almost every green in patchy sections and unevenly laid. Most of the greens were board line unplayable.

Besides the greens, there was a foursome playing two man scamble. They were the slowest I have ever seen. Groups were passing us to pass them. It took 5 hours for our threesome to play. Most players would have verbally confronted them!!!! The people passing us knew them and said they do it all the time. It was terrible.

There is very little grass on the greens. The putting surfaces are compacted dirt. Every hole has less than 50 % grass. I have never seen such a thing. The putting surfaces ate terrible. If you play here, go to practice getting to the green. Putting is terrible.

Play was less than anticipated since I was still recovering after being released to play after back surgery. Only played 14 holes.
