Horrible
Extremely disappointed, course was in terrible shape and they're about 1 week away from losing 75% of their greens. Needed a hammer to stick a tee in the ground.
I'd made an 11:20 tee time, but they had no starter or marshal. People were just teeing off and playing whenever they liked. Had a twosome then a single in front of us, then somehow when we made the turn there was another single by himself in front of us. I quit after 11 holes. I went in and talked with the only person on staff about my disappointment and the pace of play with all the singles and doubles on the course and his comment was that some of the members just think they can do whatever and lots of people just show up on the backside out of nowhere. Never again, poorly managed and poorly run.
Water NEDED ASAP
First let me say that I love this course and play it often due to being close to home. Tee boxes hard as a rock and fairways arent much better. They've had new greens put in a couple times in the past few years, and now these are turning yellow and are VERY dry. This course has the potential to be one of the best in NE Oklahoma. Sad to see being it has GREAT potential.
Better than expected
I was surprised from some reviews I read about the course, but it turned out better than expected.
The pace of play got really slow on the back half at about hole 14. Not sure where the hold up, but a Marshal would've been nice.
Food selections was less than stellar. Over priced corn dog was the only real option for food.
Needs just a little work!
I was the first person to tee off so I played by myself and finished in under 3 hours. Course has a number of rough spots not sure if all of it is weather related, but all in all the layout is fun with plenty of water that comes into play. Hopefully as the weather gets better the course will be in better shape.
WoW
Course is in the best shape that I’ve ever seen! Greens are in great condition!!! Highly recommend
Diamond in the rough
Wouldn’t expect a muni in Claremore to be much and that’s why you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. This course layout was probably one of the best I’ve ever seen for a muni. Greens were in grade A shape. Lots of elevation change. Highly recommend.
Heritage Hills
Fun course, not hard to walk 18. Challenging but fair to us weekend warriors.
Didn’t get a Chance…
Miscommunications? My husband and I were set to play Heritage Hills on Monday, March 28, 2022 while on vacation. On the 27th we called the course to ensure carts would be allowed on the course, my husband has medical issues so it’s important for us - a young woman at the course said yes they were all allowed all over the course, not just 90degrees.. Something apparently changed overnight as no carts were allowed anywhere but the rough by the time we arrived to check in at the pro shop - they said chemicals were sprayed on the course in advance of a big storm coming in the following day. Bottom line, no carts allowed ..not even 90 degree…so we couldn’t golf, and since we went thru Golfnow, the pro shop pro said he would call Golfnow to get us a credit. 2 weeks later, nothing on credit card, so Golfnow called the course and they seem to have forgotten any of this took place. Hmmm. Unfortunate that the course got paid even though we did not golf. Golfnow credited our account so ended up Golfnow did not get paid for anything that they did wrong. Suggestion, maybe leave Heritage Hills in Claremore, OK off your courses to play just for their lack of honesty (or was it just memory loss?) but thank goodness for Golf now…they were outstanding.
Heritage Hills
Fun course to play, easy 18 to walk. Some of the best Bunkers for a muni. Course. I'll be back.
