a bit proud of a fair course.
This course is in fair shape. No food available except for candy and chips. If I'm going to be forced to pay the same price as the city courses, I should expect the same level of course and service. Not even close!!
Good course for the money
Good course that requires some course knowledge. It is pretty wide open and all but one of the par 5's is reachable in two. There are a few water hazards and a few short par 4's that make it a course you can score well on.
This course has a great layout.
Excellent course. Nice layout challenging in areas but a beautiful course. Can't wait to play it again.
Surrey Hills
Overall a good course for beginners. Outside of hole #3, majority of the holes are easy to navigate. Greens were interesting. Some played slow, some played very fast. Staff hovered between cordial and dismissive. Early morning I got a blank stare when arriving for my tee time with really no interaction even after asking a couple of questions. But the various workers around were friendly. Afternoon the front desk was a lot more engaged. Overall no biggie though. The players on the course were very friendly. Several groups waited for my group to play through as we moved at a faster pace.
Nice coarse, wide open...
Easy to play for all levels, will recommend has some challenges, overall a great time.
This course is a simple layout with great maintenance
For the price you pay to play, this course was a great value and the layout has some challenge to it. The greens were average speed but very smooth and the fairways were in great shape.
Not the best course, but you can usually book a time for ~ 13 bucks. Can't beat the price.
The course is a little dry. The fairway is decent and they keep the rough mowed for the most part. The greens are all unique. Very unpredictable. A few of the holes have some cool designs. For someone just starting to play: for the value you should play this course several times. For someone who is more advanced: play this course once and then move on. I would recommend at least playing it once!
Nice course. Great greens...
Hadn't played Surrey Hills in several years, looking for a place close to home with reasonable green fees. Course was nicely maintained, greens were great, smooth and full. Not especially fast nor slow. Fairways were green and good height. We've had rain here in central OK, which is always a plus in mid July. Club house is OK. Needs some attention to odor in the building, but otherwise satisfactory. The course is the main thing, and it is in good shape.
Greens looked good
Need to water and take care of more than just the greens.
Course in great shape, bar not staffed but………………
Greens were in really good shape, fairways not too bad but could use water. Two holes are over 600 yards longs, very challenging. No one at the bar, so beer was out, but I played on a monday, so wasn't too upset. Overall; very good experience, would definitely recommend course to others. Price was very good using GolfNow.
Great course close to home. Course is in as good of shape as I have seen it in years!
Geat course, open, and in great shape, nice bar! Hot deals are worth every cent under $17! Golfnow states you save 28% on 3:58 tee times for $23? After 3:00 pm it is $23 dallars every week day. $27 on weekends.
Better than I expected!
My brother and I played at Surrey Hills this weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the course. Course was in good condition. Greens were rolling true. Trees made for challenging approach shots. I will definitely play this course again.
great shape since i was there last.....................
All the rains have helped this course immensely!! Course well maintained, greens rolled very true, not too fast, yet, not to slow!! CONSISTENT!! Fairways in as good a shape as any in the metro!!
I'm never going back
The course was descent, but the pace of play was absolutely terrible. We waited on EVERY SHOT ALL DAY, and it took over 5 hours to play. The final round of the US Open at Merion, played the same day, did not take as long.
Great old-style layout
Surrey Hills is in the best shape I've seen it in years. Always a great layout but now good fairways and greens. Look for good deals on GolfNow most of the time. Well worth playing.
Nice course at a good value
Moderately challenging course with a lot of water hazards. There are many cases were you are required to tee off over water, which was difficult for my wife. Greens were in good shape, but the fairways were a little unruly due to all of the recent rain. In normal conditions I suspect this course would be in excellent condition. I would and will play here again.
Great course with some challenge and variation.
This was a great course not too far from Oklahoma City. It wasn't crowded so I assume it's just a relatively unknown gem. I loved the variety of holes with some really challanges thrown in. I took two of my kids and the staff was very friendly and patient with all of us. I will certainly return every chance I get.
Great challenge for beginner
If you are a beginner, this course will challenge your play. There is quite a bit of water on the course which can cause some problems for new golfers. There are some challenging holes and some easy ones, so it has a good mix of holes. Overall this course was fun for the wife and me.
Improvements are being made
The course (fairways especially) could use some better grass, but they are improving the club house and I assume they will improve the course as well. It is a nice course with much potential, and the price from Golf Now was perfect. I will play it again.
No grass
The course was in bad shape...very little grass on the fairways/rough. Greens had recently been aeriated. Had I known this I would not have played this course.
