The course is well kept and maintained. the fairways are wide and forgiving. There are several very long holes. The pace on this course tends to be slow and usually on the back 9. However, I love playing here.
Course maintenance
Played today in good weather and pace of play and staff were great. A maintenance guy was spreading sand fill on previously aerated tee boxes which is usually fine but starting at hole 3 he spread sand on the tee box prior to us teeing off and then went to reload sand and met him on tees 4,5 and six.. Maybe doing his work in reverse. May have avoided seeing him so much, Only negative of the day. Glad to see crew out there doing their job that helps maintain the course condition

very slow play
The course was backed up due to slow outings thst by the 18th were all playing together which led to 2 or 3 groups waiting on holes . close to a 5 1/2 round.

Long into wind
Plays extremely long into wind especially if in the rough.
The rough is fairly punishing though not as bad as last roun.d I played here. Still high & thick enough to have trouble finding ball even if only off the fairway by a few yards. 2 yards or 20 yds off fairway you're dealing with the same rough. Fairways & greens in very good shape. Some, not all, bunkers/traps full of rocks. Sand is firm

Great course to pkay
The greens are well manicured the fairways are well groomed. The tee box are set at a pro standard but even at as a amateur its a great place to challenge your game.

Great time at a great course
Played right after hurricane Ida flew by. Some water in bunkers but otherwise the course was in excellent shape. One complaint: They charge $20 per player for a cart, so $40 with 2 riding together. Now during Covid I understood the $20 charge when they made us ride as singles. But now that there is two in a cart the price should not double.
