great Course on long Island's north shore
This is a great public links golf course. Greens are healthy. They will test your putting skill.
Fairways are groomed. Roughs are forgiving. Plenty of trouble for those who stray too far off the fairway. It's not the place to show off the latest golf fashion, although everyone dresses appropriately. It's not the place for "golf snobs", although everyone is considerate and practices proper golf etiquette. It's the place to meet really nice people who enjoy playing golf on a nice course.
While visiting the North Fork ( and a single golfer) enjoyed the course - design, set up, condition and the folks I was paired up with. Good value and I would certainly recommend it and look forward to playing it again. I played from the blue tees.

Course was in great condition. Can't say the same about my game.
Alright not the best
Course layout not bad. Tees boxes for the tips are awful on the par 3s very weird layout for them. Fairways are long a furry could be the first cut at some country clubs. Greens were not the best. Don’t think they are properly maintained. Seems like they are cut by two different people or mowers.
Overall not bad sone par 4s are a unique layout par 3s needs the tees set up better for the green. Shouldn’t have to hit over and between trees. It seemed like this course was never suppose to be this long and blue marks or tipped out was a complete after thought.

Worth the Trip
I’m a fan of Cherry Creek Links. It plays somewhat long from the white tees, but presents a fair test throughout the round. I enjoy the layout and appreciate the excellent conditioning. It’s about a 45 minute drive for me, but I find it well worth it.

One of my favorite courses. Greens are kept well, fairways are very forgiving, it is clean and the staff is very friendly. The grounds are well maintained.

Quick round on holiday weekend
We teed off at 950am on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend - I fully expected a busy day with some waiting. While the course was full, they managed it very well and we enjoyed a 4 hour round. The longest we ever waited on one hole was 2-3 minutes and most were clear. It was a fantastic day that reminds you why the east end is a special place. The course is in very good shape and well cared for. The range is also above average for most public courses, nice to hit some warmups.
