Condition declining
This course was well maintained in the past. When I played fairways were fairly weedy and greens were REALLY slow. I mean REALLY slow! Putts were more like slap shots.
Carts have a nice feature showing you yardage to the front and back of the greens and your current position overlayed on the course. BUT, the software started beeping at me a half a dozen times saying I was on a green or tee box with a cart. At no time have I ever been on a tee box or green with a cart - ever. I had trouble trying to get it to turn off a constant beep. You have to put the cart into reverse since forward motion is disabled. This is really annoying! Imagine you pull up to a tee box on the paved cart path and your serenaded by a constant beep you cannot turn off. And if the party in front of you is slow, you get a message that your behind and its difficult to make the message go away so you can see the nice graphics of the course. Jeez, has any golfer actually been consulted by the software people that designed this pile of junk.
8 somes and 12 somes
Marshall did nothing
Manager was rude and did nothing
The course was in bad shape it was like playing in the rough all day
Fairways are rough and putting green is rougher
Played during an unfortunate condition of the course where the fairways weren’t cut and just long grass and the greens were caked in sand and thick over brown grass. Better to just chip for your putt. Staff are friendly and the course layout itself is very simple. But, I wouldn’t recommend playing here if you’re of intermediate or better playing ability.
Greens were patchy and hole to hole play did not flow at all. First 9 we’re okay the back 9 were an after thought when designing the course. Tee boxes were slanted and most of the fairways were side slopes the whole way.
Walkers Beware!!
Front nine is great. Back nine - Challenging with a pushcart. Rent a car if you don't like hills. Course was in good shape after the west coast drought. Looking forward to playing here again!
Great course
Course was really nice and challenging.. Booked through Golf Now and had no problem getting a cart at the counter.. The guy was really nice and helpfully.. will be playing at that course again if I get a chance..
Fun course, great location
I like this course for it beautiful setting and interesting play., Staff were kind and helpful. Its September with a very unusually dry/hot summer that is making it challenging for all courses in the area so the fairways were mostly dry grass but all kept in playable condition. The tees/greens were in good shape although the greens were slow to putt. But I would play again as it is a fun course with many unique holes. But I'll warn you that #10 has a reputation in difficulty above the rest.
No push over
Executive courses get a bad wrap. This is a great course w/ tons of elevation changes, and a serious walk.
The par 3's are on the long side. The course seemed to play longer than the yardage, but the dried out fairways help give you roll. Layout and variety of holes keeps you interested.
Have to mention #10...one of the hardest/short par 5's you will ever play! The staff was great!
Nice place to play
The weather is generally very nice in the summer. Some of the fairways can be difficult and it is a short course. Good place to play occasionally.
Nice Staff, ok course
It is a very reasonable price to play 9-18 holes. Course is in reasonable shape but greens are rough/slow. A lot of target golf vs let it rip if you are good with that. Pace of play is generally ok to not so much due to # of inexperienced golfers coming for a shorter/less expensive course. Last time or two very slow, hard to get any rhythm andxwatching other groups tee off
Caught in the Middle
So, I booked and paid for the round through a Golfnow hot deal. Walking rate. Thought we would rent a cart when we got there. NEVER been denied a cart when booking walking rate. Was told by the person at the counter becouse we booked through golf now they couldn't rent us one and they had been fighting with golf now to put that notification up. She said it went up right after we booked. Gave us the runaround. As customers, we felt like we were being punished for their squabbling with golf now. By the way, they had plenty of carts, no matter what she said. Check the pic. Becouse this course is very hilly and our age we couldn't finish the round. Had to quit after 2 holes. Will never play there again.
Hole 10 was crazy!!
