Summer golf
The course was fairly dry on the fairways, but mowed well. Greens were fast, so don’t be long.
Didn't honor Golf now
We were booked and paid for 18 holes but the course didn't honor our tee time because of a tournament. They offered us a rain check and said to get refund from golfnow. I can't find a way to request a refund from Golf now .
Great little course!
For a par 65 this course makes you work for your score. It has the toughest par 5 I have ever encountered! The par 3's test you from 100 yards to 180 yards. The only drawback is that it's hilly enough that you must be in good shape to walk it. I have never said no to a chance to play it!
fun
did not know it had 9 par 3s..really need to play twice to understand course
Great staff
The lady that checked me in was very cordial and let me go off early to try and beat the anticipated rain in the early afternoon.
Long roughs
I lost several golf balls in the long rough.
Greens had been sanded and spiked. Very rough.
Over all a fun and challenging course with lots of Par 3 holes.
good course book
at check in, they gave me a nice hole by hole course description book for use. First time out.
Nice
Friendly Staff
We felt like the staff was super friendly and went the extra mile. Jennifer in the pro shop was great!
The greens were rolling true and the weather was perfect. While the rest of the state was broiling we had a great day at the coast.
Well maintained course with fast greens.
The course was in great shape considering 2 days of rain prior to playing. The greens were very fast.
Ok
It was an old public course bought by the casino. They definitely haven't done any upgrades to it. It's fine for beginners. Mostly par 3s. The only reason we chose to play there is that it was my sons first time. The staff were nice. We were there on vacation and the pro shop worker came to me after our round and said that you must have a collar to play the course. We chuckled. I appreciate their attempt to be professional but c'mon guys, you are owned by a small time casino and technically I only needed four clubs to play your course.
Lower your expectations!
This was my 2nd time playing here. I told myself I'd never play it again, but then a relative gave me a free round he had won, and I wouldn't say no to that. Well the foursome I was with decided to do best ball, which made the course more fun. Some of the holes (2, 4, 10!) are cheesy, and their par 5 really isn't a par 5. I had a 5 iron into the green, and I'm not a long hitter.
Hilly
If you can't stay in the fairway you will be challenged. Carrying you clubs is a workout.
More direction to T Blocks
This course needs more directions to where the next T blocks are when you finish the hole. Some are good but it needs a little more work. A couple of holes we had to ask locals playing where the T blocks were on the hole we were suppose to play next. Very pretty course & it is maintained a lot better since Chinook Winds took it over. Could still use some improvements but overall it was OK.
had a great time.nice and friendly
The course was in fine shape for this time of year.
Expect The unexpected on Oregon Coast
Mother nature did not cooperate during the round..lots of wind and sideways rain...but only in short bursts...waited it out at times and still had a great time...fun challenging courst esplecially no.10.dog leg left, water all along the left, real tight fairway for layup(its a par 5). Green surrounded by water/creek etc......lots of different par 3s too.Ran into a herd(around 8) big elk on 16,,,really cool, they saw us and ran into the woods.I can't believe how big they were.
Strange Course
Difficult layout. Too many blind shots. Sever hillside slopes. Hole #10 is a ridiculous layout... second shot after a fantastic drive is still impossible.
great short game ..
This courses is small but very demanding.Great course to work on your irons!!!
Nicely maintained, easy to walk on
Been here a couple of times. Fun course, hilly and interesting, but still ok for walking. Good condition - one green is an "island" surrounded by sand...challenging and fun. Like this course and for being at the beach where it is rainy all the time it seems to have good drainage on most holes.
This course will challenge the golfer in all aspects of the game, but, well worth taking on the challenge. It was an enjoyment.
The course has the hills and valleys landscape that will challenge the golfers physical strength, if they walk the course, and the golfers playing skills. The front nine (9) has water between the tee box and the first green followed by 8 more holes offering tight fairways lined by trees on either side and green flags that can and can't be seen from the fairway. The back nine(9), starting on the 10th hole, forces you to circle water on your left as you make your way around to the green and, 8 more holes which weave their way through tight fairways amongst the homes and hills. Most of the greens on the back nine are perched on hill tops or directly over water.
My opinion, this course was a blast to play!! I'd love to play it again, and I'm sure I will.
This is a must play if you're in the vicinity!
