Oregon City Golf Club

About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Average price for an average course
Decent course, not very exciting but you gotta love a nice 135yd par 3 sunken below the tee box. Kinda scary when you were so close to groups with a green right next to the tee box.
Greens were spongy and shaggy, tee boxes were pretty rough as well - mostly as they were not very level.
Enjoy the time there.
I like the convenience and also the opportunity.Do not be rushed when i'm playing
Good Practice
OCGC is a great spot to get some swing practice in. Good availability, plays simply and has some nicely shaped holes. Could have a few more challenges and greens could be a bit firmer.
Oregon city
Easy to book on tee off app. Called to reserve a cart which was also very quick and easy. Friendly starter friendly staff. No waiting and again very quick to get checked in. Course was in pretty good condition for the time of year. Greens were good and course layout was nice. A bit slow the first nine but no delays on the back nine. 4 hr round. I have golfed Oregon city course since the mid 70’s course is the same layout but in great condition now. Very enjoyable round.
Great value
course fairways are hard and the ball runs alot, which is nice compared to winters here in Portland. Hitting the ball too long can get you in trouble with the tree lined fairway, definitely making you hit some shots. greens run smooth and some areas are soft with the watering from the morning. overall would comeback again
Customer Service Not Good
Staff has always been friendly, except for the other day when I played. We had a group of 4 walking 18 because they had no cart availability at 7:30 in the morning and at the turn the starter was yelling at us across the street to pick up the pace of play even though there was no one behind us.
Very enjoyable experience
It's a great experience Every time I come here to play, the staff are very nice, warm and friendly. The venue is clean and beautiful. The facilities are reasonable. In short, i'd like to come here to play ball.
First time playing OCGC
Overall good course staff was friendly and they had a beverage cart person who I saw frequently. Tee boxes had some rough spots but I always found a spot to tee off. Although the layoff kept me wondering if I was going to hit someone with an errant shot it played fine and at a good pace. Greens were a bit slow and moist but easy to adjust too and were in good shape not many ball marks since the greens were easy to repair and held iron shots well.
Not enough carts!
If you don't reserve a cart in advance you won't get one. Had to cancel our round as they wouldn't let us wait for a cart.
Refused power cart
The course ran out of carts I was told. Even though there were spares at the driving range. I was not offered a pull cart and was forced to walk. I am 74 with a bad foot. I probably won’t play there again. I quit after 4 holes!!
