Oregon City Golf Club
About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Oregon City Golf Club
Not a bad course for the price. The greens are a little slow and bumpy but hey it's still April.
great value
Course in very good condition, staff freindly, great day. The only negative, I think the greens were extremely soft, to the point of anyone walking on the greens, caused damage, sinking in their own footsteps. The result, very bumpy greens, causing the ball to bounce very eratically. Greens just very soft. Other than that, had a great time.
Awesome course
This is an excellent course and was in great condition for March.
Nice clean course
We have played here half a dozen times and are always pleased with the upkeep of the grounds. The pace of play was excellent as there were no big bottlenecks from too many people. It was nice to see plenty of other women out on the course.
Only complaint is that the drink cart came by at noon and I wasn't ready for a drink yet so I thought I would wait for the next circuit, but they never came by again. We saw the cart at the clubhouse as we passed through to the second 9 and it was being drained and put away for the day (before 2).
First time to play
While this course was not long, less than 6000, it was still a challenge. The greens are relatively small but there is not a lot of undulation in them. The par threes are pretty strong here. I found it interesting the greens were much softer than the fairways after a very wet Feb and early Mar. Some of the doglegs are a little quirky. This may not be such an issue in the summer when there is run on the ball. But with the soft conditions of the rainy season, reaching the dogleg on a couple of the par 5's required an above average length drive. This made layups a little awkward and challenging. As a bonus, you are treated to some great views of Mt Hood throughout your round. I was told by a regular I was paired with that rounds can be a little slow during the summer. I think this course would be great for couples and beginning golfers. I'm anxious to play this course during the summer when things dry out.
This is a players course for all levels.
I've played this course for over 20 years and have watched its steady improvemnent. It is a great course tom play, with excellent staff in the proshop and greens crew. They are customer oriented and are focused on making your play enjoyable.
This club has great features
green fee is reasonable and amazing food, friendly staff.
Nice course
Play Oregon City Golf Course a lot and always find it ready to be played .No leaves or tree branches to deal with .
The course was in fairly good condition, even with all the rain.
The course was vey playable, even with the amount of rain that it received during the last weekend. The greens were smooth and fast.
Fun course
Short, tight course. Lots of trees, but very fair. Lots of birdie opportunitities. Will play again.
This course is easy to play.
It was a fun course. The course was in great shape and very nicely maintained. I would recommend this course.
Not difficult but can be challenging at times
With thewarm weather the fairways have filled in and they are cutting the fairways high so we have great lies.
Very good condition
The initial greeting in the proshop was not very warm. But once on the course I warmed up. Was a beautiful sunny Monday and the course wasn't crowded. Was able to fully enjoy the very well maintained golf course and truly enjoyed playing there!!
Great course, has some challenges for the average golfer.
We have golfed this course for years. We had stopped going for about 1 year as the course needed some attention, but they have turned things around and other than the fact they had just sanded the greens a week prior to our visit, the course was in fabulous shape and it was a lot of fun. We were very happy to see that it was back to the course we had remembered. The staff has always been wonderful too us and we often sit and visit after our round with a few of them.
Very friendly staff, course well maintained, slow greens.
The course is in great shape. The greens were pretty slow but still in good shape. Fairways were in great shape and not much debris in the way like leaves or branches. All in all our group very much enjoyed the course that day.
Nice scenery, good condition
Well maintained course with nice scenery and a couple of great views of Hood. Very little water; tend to like a bit more. Greens in good shape despite being recently aerated.
A goto course
This is a course I could play any day. Its a good practice no pressure course and it hosts all types of players. I've booked a group and I've booked as a single. I've had fun every time.
great old course
Great older course, sharp dog legs and smaller greens. Distance wont help you as much as a straight ball will. Would be a perfect course for a 4-ball afternoon. Greens were recently punched, healing nicely though. Over all course condition was good for the time of year.
greens were airated and far ways were fair but I was there to work on my game
It was a very nicw day with a mild breez, the greens were sanded , the fairways were spotty with all that said I almost eagled hole # 12 the ball missed by 4 inches of going in. had a 48 on the front and a 41 on the back nine in all it was a nice day.
Great course!
Beautiful condition, dries out really well. We've played here when it was snowing/hailing with no problem. Watch for good deals, normal rates are plenty, but they have lots of tee times availalbe through Golfnow that are STEALS.
