Oregon City Golf Club
About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Nice course
Short fun course. Not a real challenge for better golf ears. Good greens. Easy to walk. Nice patio for special events.
Marvelous in Oregon City
The weather was nearly perfect, my wife and I played in just over 3 hours. This course has enough challenges but it's not a beast for those of us with over 10 handicaps. They now have a free course book that takes some of the guess work out of how far mid course hazards are. That really makes if a lot more fun for us without sophisticated gps units.
I'll come back!!

great course great deal
I got the golf now special so it made the 45 minute drive to check out this course worth it. Beautiful golf course good condition. It was a hot day and no beverage cart was a little weird. But I can't complain I shot the best round of my life.
Oregon City Club
OCGC is pretty short from the back tees course. Using Golfnow we got a super deal and decided to play it.
The staff at OCGC resents Golfnow players in our opinion. Very unfriendly and making us prove our confirmation of our prepaid tee-time. The starter could use some personality improvement .
The weather was good and course is certainly decent. It is quirky, very typical of a short course to achieve regulation par. At 5800 yards form the back tees, several of the holes are tall tree lined and horseshoe shaped making it difficult to figure out shot shapes. I am sure the annual members know the shots and destroy par at times. All the holes are tree lined. There is a couple of ditches and water hazards on a few of the holes. The bunkers were decent but not well raked.
The greens were in great condition and rolling very quick for as spongy feeling as they were. There is a lot of very thin turf in the fairways, almost bare on the dirt in many cases. The back nine is hilly and might be difficult for some to walk
We played as a walking twosome and finished in just less than 4 yrs. Only having a short wait on 2 tee boxes.
It's kinda clubby, they don't make you feel welcome, but the course is ok. And on a GolfNow hotdeal it was a great value for very little cash outlaid.
Gees were perfect
My rate was through Golf Now and I noticed the regular rates were quite high. It was friday morning and the course was empty.
Beautiful old course
I hadn't played this course in over 20 years and I am glad I went back. The course has matured nicely and is better maintained than it was 20 years ago. It is an easy course to walk and now that the trees have matured it is beautiful. The fairways and greens were in great shape and well maintained. The club house is beautiful and all of the staff I encountered were wonderful and friendly. I did not eat anything so I can not rate the food. They do have a small warm up area if you are interested in that. But I would doubt that you would want to hit a driver. Well worth a visit. Especially if you have not been there in a long time.
the tee boxes are not even.
this golf course needs a yearly maintenance program. the tee boxes are not even and in bad shape. you should be rebuilding two or three a year!
Stormy golf
Great day even with the thunder, lightning, and showers. Course was in great condition and greens rolling well. Storm kept everyone else away so I had the course to myself.
Oregon City Golf Club
Not a bad course for the price. The greens are a little slow and bumpy but hey it's still April.
great value
Course in very good condition, staff freindly, great day. The only negative, I think the greens were extremely soft, to the point of anyone walking on the greens, caused damage, sinking in their own footsteps. The result, very bumpy greens, causing the ball to bounce very eratically. Greens just very soft. Other than that, had a great time.
Awesome course
This is an excellent course and was in great condition for March.
Nice clean course
We have played here half a dozen times and are always pleased with the upkeep of the grounds. The pace of play was excellent as there were no big bottlenecks from too many people. It was nice to see plenty of other women out on the course.
Only complaint is that the drink cart came by at noon and I wasn't ready for a drink yet so I thought I would wait for the next circuit, but they never came by again. We saw the cart at the clubhouse as we passed through to the second 9 and it was being drained and put away for the day (before 2).
First time to play
While this course was not long, less than 6000, it was still a challenge. The greens are relatively small but there is not a lot of undulation in them. The par threes are pretty strong here. I found it interesting the greens were much softer than the fairways after a very wet Feb and early Mar. Some of the doglegs are a little quirky. This may not be such an issue in the summer when there is run on the ball. But with the soft conditions of the rainy season, reaching the dogleg on a couple of the par 5's required an above average length drive. This made layups a little awkward and challenging. As a bonus, you are treated to some great views of Mt Hood throughout your round. I was told by a regular I was paired with that rounds can be a little slow during the summer. I think this course would be great for couples and beginning golfers. I'm anxious to play this course during the summer when things dry out.
This is a players course for all levels.
I've played this course for over 20 years and have watched its steady improvemnent. It is a great course tom play, with excellent staff in the proshop and greens crew. They are customer oriented and are focused on making your play enjoyable.
This club has great features
green fee is reasonable and amazing food, friendly staff.
Nice course
Play Oregon City Golf Course a lot and always find it ready to be played .No leaves or tree branches to deal with .
The course was in fairly good condition, even with all the rain.
The course was vey playable, even with the amount of rain that it received during the last weekend. The greens were smooth and fast.
Fun course
Short, tight course. Lots of trees, but very fair. Lots of birdie opportunitities. Will play again.
This course is easy to play.
It was a fun course. The course was in great shape and very nicely maintained. I would recommend this course.
Not difficult but can be challenging at times
With thewarm weather the fairways have filled in and they are cutting the fairways high so we have great lies.
