About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Golfer Reviews
Great value
course fairways are hard and the ball runs alot, which is nice compared to winters here in Portland. Hitting the ball too long can get you in trouble with the tree lined fairway, definitely making you hit some shots. greens run smooth and some areas are soft with the watering from the morning. overall would comeback again
Customer Service Not Good
Staff has always been friendly, except for the other day when I played. We had a group of 4 walking 18 because they had no cart availability at 7:30 in the morning and at the turn the starter was yelling at us across the street to pick up the pace of play even though there was no one behind us.
Very enjoyable experience
It's a great experience Every time I come here to play, the staff are very nice, warm and friendly. The venue is clean and beautiful. The facilities are reasonable. In short, i'd like to come here to play ball.
First time playing OCGC
Overall good course staff was friendly and they had a beverage cart person who I saw frequently. Tee boxes had some rough spots but I always found a spot to tee off. Although the layoff kept me wondering if I was going to hit someone with an errant shot it played fine and at a good pace. Greens were a bit slow and moist but easy to adjust too and were in good shape not many ball marks since the greens were easy to repair and held iron shots well.
Not enough carts!
If you don't reserve a cart in advance you won't get one. Had to cancel our round as they wouldn't let us wait for a cart.
Refused power cart
The course ran out of carts I was told. Even though there were spares at the driving range. I was not offered a pull cart and was forced to walk. I am 74 with a bad foot. I probably won’t play there again. I quit after 4 holes!!
Perfection
Every aspect of the course is in its prime shape! Greens were smooth, a bit slow in the morning but rolled great. Every thing was just perfect!
Unfriendly Staff
We didn’t have high expectations for the course as you get what you pay for. However, you still expect good customer service. The day started out with them not having enough carts for us and they weren’t very sympathetic or accommodating at all. Then even though we were not holding anyone up, they were rude when we were slightly behind pace of play. Ultimately customer service was lackluster at best.
Goat track doesn’t do this place justice
This course is very obviously broke and very poorly managed…you have to call ahead to “reserve” a golf cart because they don’t have enough carts.
The course is very poorly maintained, the fairways are undefined from the rough, basically the same length as the rough. Most of the rough and fairway are more wild flowers than actual grass.
The greens have never been aerated which makes them very spongy and bumpy.
The tee boxes are so uneven and sparsely covered in grass it’s more like hitting out of a bunker than a tee box.
It’s the same hole copy and pasted
I felt that as I played this course, it was the same straight par 4 with trees lining it the entire time. There was a par 3 that was downhill and a few dog leg holes, but those were the only ones that were different than what I mentioned before. I personally would not play this course again, unless I could play 18 holes for less than $15, otherwise there are several other courses I would pay equal if not more to play before I went the distance to go to this course.
Beautiful and fun course
This was my first time playing this course and I loved it. The course pamphlet guided me through each of the holes and course was challenging but not too difficult. Pace of play was perfect. The only thing really lacking is good options. Unless you’re a hot dog person.
