Slow pace.
Got a great deal to golf 18! However upon getting there I could tell it was busy busy busy. Once my tee time came I knew pace of play was gonna be terrible. Got stuck behind a group of four who didn’t seem to care much about time management. There were no Marshall’s driving around to make sure pace of play was being enforced, ultimately because of the slow pace I was only able to play 9. I started at 1pm! Should not have taken me 3 hrs to play 9. Kind of disappointed in that.
Doesn’t care about Covid or safety
Manager on duty didn’t tell us at check in about our pairing. We got blind sided at the tee box with another pair, we let them go ahead because of covid safety. As we’re right about to hit our approach shot, he pulled up and aggressively asks us why we didn’t play with the pair, I told them it was for our safety and covid. He said that wasn’t a good enough excuse.... escorted us back for a refund and told me it was our fault for not abiding by their pace of play rules. I mentioned he didn’t tell us anything about us getting paired like every other course does. He got defensive and said he did say it over the microphone. I didn’t want any excuses I just wanted him to apologize for making a mistake on not telling us. Him not caring about covid was also very alarming. I use to love this place and take all my friends here, tried taking my gf and this happened. Ruined my experience at this place. Manager needs to learn to talk to people even when he’s busy...
Did you give the maimtenance grew the week off?

Fun course, greens in great shape
Fun par 62 course to work on irons. Greens in excellent shape
course is great. Manager and pro shop great.
$4.50 for a Pabst beer is ridiculous but of course I'm not a rich person living in Charbonneau.
Short in all the right ways
Charbonneau is a good course for a great value. Well kept and easy to access. As the yardage shows...it is short. But that is just fine. Leave your driver in the bag, and work on your irons. Great place to tighten up the loose ends and level the playing field if playing with some people who "just hit bombs"! At Charbonneau those "bombs" turn into shots at some kind retiree's patio windows. Fairways are somewhat narrow and O.B. is close. Save your "hero shots" and "bombs" for Langdon Farms across the street.
Busted Pipes & Bad Manners.
The pond next to the clubhouse had flooded for some reason, and drowned the entire patio area in six inches of water. We had to take our shoes off to walk through it to get back to our golf bags, and it is most likely reclaimed water. The folks in the pro shop are kind'a mean, and the lady in the cafe was less than pleasant. They stopped serving food at 5:45PM, and had no alternatives even though tons of golfers were still making the turn. All that said, it's a great little course that plays in 3.5 hours if you're lazy, and the grounds/greens are always in fantastic condition... unless they're flooded.
Nice greens
Well it was a busy day at the golf course. So I would like to know why you let a 5 sum play in front of us? We were waiting on every whole plus they were slow. It very hard to get around people on this course. I like course but there is no excuse for this!!
It’s a good executive course narrow and the greens were in good shape.
Great value
This course is a great value. Course in great shape, friendly staff out on the course, and the Pro Shop staff very accommodating. Definitely I will return!
