Conley Resort
About
Conley Resort & Golf plays across the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh. The course is an enjoyable round no matter what skill level. It is not an overly difficult or long course, but it was never meant to be a formidably tough round. The design was meant to appeal to not only high handicappers but also golfers who are looking for a casual but interesting round. For this reason, the resort is an ideal place for a relaxed outing. The golf course is playable but that doesn't mean golfers won't come across a fair amount of challenges. The 13th and 18th are two particularly tricky holes. The former is a par 4 with six sand traps lining a narrow fairway, and the finishing hole is a par 3 with water lining another narrow fairway and a large pond behind the raised green.

Very, Very Good Condition!, same old lackluster Customer Service
The greens, fairways, rough, and sand were in awesome shape. The tee boxes could have used some help in places but still were better than most public tracks in Western PA. Nothing stood out w customer service. Had a 721 TTime and was checking in at 650, I was reminded twice that they needed to get a couple groups off ahead if me. ??? Maybe she didn't think I could tell time. Just little things like that get annoying and I have had other odd interactions and phone calls w staff for reservations that would make me just avoid the place all together if the course wasn't kept in such good condition.
The honest truth
Conley golf course is always in good shape. The course has a nice layout with the typical one or two holes you don't like on a golf course. This course is a great value at the golf now price and up to $40 per round. The issue most have with the course is the high regular rates when not using Golf now. $65 dollars regular fee for 18/ cart carries higher expectations than this course can deliver. Conley is in my back yard and out of all the courses in Butler is my preferred course to play. Unfortunately the inconvenience of having to look for discounted rates doesn't have me playing it as much as i would like.
Slow play on weekends
The course is fine and the staff were friendly. The 5 hours to play was the norm on weekends. They get a lot of outing and scrambles at this course on weekends. What is it about scrambles that bring out every hacker in the area? Be prepared for slow play if it the weekend.
great golf course
The course was in great shape, as usual. We did have a somewhat slow round, but usually have no problem. It is one of my favorite courses. Challenging but very playable. Highly recommend it.
nice course
Fairly flat considering, very nice tees, fairways and greens. Greens receptive and rolled nice, pretty soft conditions. Play was slow because of a party in front of us playing a scramble. They were just slow all over so it slowed us down. Saw the ranger at the 1st hole but not after that. Alot of blind shots and the course is very close together, so you have shots from others landing all over the place near our group. No bells to move play so on many hole we had to drive forward to see when the group had move on to the green, and then go back and tee off. I cant see how it is worth the cost unless you have a discount.
Good Course Bad Management
This coure is in great shape so once we started playing everything was great.
Arrived about an hour prior to tee time. Course was empty. Checked in and and asked if we could tee off early since no one was around. Was told we cannot. Putted a few minutes and decided to wait at the tee box until our time. The manager came out and yelled at us for being there and told us we have to wait until our tee time because we booked under a HOT DEAL ($25 per person) she does not get any of that money and hence she is not letting us go out early. Eventually she let us tee off after a twosome about ten minutes before our tee time. In the hour oprior to out tee time only two twosomes teed off. If all you care about is the course, go for it. Not sure I will return unless it's another super hot deal but won't arrve early. Management has never been friendly in prior visits so it's not an isolated case.
Just in time
Good course for the money. Got round in just before the rain.
good course
staff was friendly greens held shots we played blue tees best for this course , Pace of play was great and 18th hole great finshing hole over water. Enjoyed the course and the price was right with golf now. Hope to get back to this facility befoe end of season
Nice course, great condition
Excellent condition, nice round on a particularly hot and humid afternoon. GPS had different yardages than the card from tee box, but accurate fairway and sprinkler head yardages within the course. Golf carts are a bit worn out, but peppy. Good 19th hole, too. Get the pulled pork nachos.
The 4th at Conley's
The course was in excellent shape. The 18th hole which is a par3 hole was challenging due to the water in front of the grenn. However, the course did not have any restroom facilities on the course nor did it have any storm shelters which is surprising for a course this old
Great Course
This course is always a sure bet for a great place to play. The course is always in great shape, the pace is generally great. I never walk away with a regret of playing here!
Pace of play 5 hours and 30 minutes
They took far too many tee times on Saturday 7/5/2014, cramming groups together like sardines to make as much money as possible. We waited on every shot. Do not play this course on a weekend.
Great Golf
I would play here again, had a great time, course was in great condition
nice greens
played on a busy sunday afternoon as a two and waited for every shot. Course was in good shape ans were the greens although a bit slow. This course will challenge the short game as there is a lot of room off most tees but some of the dogleg holes require a shot with a club other than driver to the correct spot on the fairway to ensure reaching the green.
Pretty Good Track, although a little simple.
The greens have too much "seeding" or something that makes them too slow. They are fairly smooth, but that makes it tough. This hasn't always been the case in the past when I've played here, though. Numerous greens have tree droppings on them which make putting tough as well. The rest of the course is in good shape.
Oddly, though, at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon, the snack shop at the turn was closed - you had to go into the bar to get food. Just weird for a peak time. A good course if you want to score. The scorecard has the white tees at 6,260 yards, but my GPS said it was more like 5,300. The first hole alone is 490 on the card, but 425 on the GPS. All in all, a decent course with above average conditions. Show-up price of over $50 is beyond ridiculous, though. The price should be around $40-$45 for a weekend.
Very Nice day
A great day on the course. Sometimes a good day gets ruined by a course that can't match it, not the case here. Great conditions, especially the greens. Pace was a bit slow and could use a starter and/or ranger, but Conley's has some great looking holes, varying challenges and a great 19th hole. Always a fun day there with good golf.
A long day
The good - the layout is challenging for the average golfer. The course was in very good condition.
The bad - the pace of play was terrible. It took almost 5 hours.
Quality Course
Found this course on golfNow while visiting daughter in Pittsburg. My wife and I enjoyed this well maintained facility. Friendly staff made us feel welcomed. If you are an average golfer you will enjoy this challenging course.
Conley's is still a great value
From the lunch I ate before the round, to the finishing hole, it was a great time.
And good value.
