Marada Golf Course

This course is now closed and the land sold. Wasn't too challenging to begin with. Only par 35 and right around 3,000 yards. No bunkers either.

This is a well maintained course with a fair degree of challenge. There is enough challenge to hold the interest of a scratch golfer but will not overwhelm a novice. Terraced greens are the most challenging aspect and pin placement can make them very challenging. I've played the course a few times now and I am very pleased with it. Downsides: No food service on the course. This is well done 9 hole course. To play 18 you repeat the 9.

9 holes - great value - large greens - entire course is in great condition.

Course is well maintained. Staff is very friendly. If you play early in the morning the pace of play is very good on the weekends, usually about 3 1/2 hours. Course has some of the best greens in the Pittsburgh area. Great value for the money.

Not a lot of sparkles and frills and sense of arrival is pretty spartan but this golf course had the best greens I have ever putted on. It's the only course that I have played outside of Arizona so my total experience may be limited but I have played Dove Mountain and most of the Arizona Resorts and I could not believe the quality of Marada's greens.

When on the course, you can see the potential this 9-hole course has. Pretty settings, long-fairways, sharp doglegs. However, the grounds crew does not take advantage of this. This can best be exemplified by the sand traps which have been removed over the years, because when you see one that has been left to be overtaken by grass, you understand why the others were taken out. Further showing the need for better maintenance is just how long the grass is on the "fairways". The length of the grass would easily be the first cut of rough on other courses. With that being said, the greens are very nice. Not too fast nor too slow, and they have plenty of movement. Overall, it was a $25 well spent for a round of great.

This course is maintained superbly for the value. The greens are extremely well taken care of and can be challenging based upon pin placement. You will not find a better course for the value in my opinion. Great course for beginners and a wonderful course for mid-handicappers looking to get swings in. The staff has been exceptionally nice during all of my visits and are very friendly.

Good value for a quick 9 holes. Spouse is learning the game. Enjoyed a leisurely day on this course without feeling pressured or that we were inconveniencing anyone else. Staff were super!

My wife and I played this course for my birthday. Greens were challenging and hole placement made shots hard but isn't that what you really want when you watch the pros play..."I could have made that putt" . Carts are on a 5 or 10 second delay...but they ride nice once they get going...Great hills all over the course. Would definitely play again through golfnow. Ask a local for directions. Only 7 miles from Courtyard and Embassy suites.

I play this course often when I play alone. Time is important an pace of play is excellent. Other golfers will permit you to play thru. Staff friendly and grounds keepers courteous to players.( they stop what they are doing so you can make your shot) Sometimes giving gallery approval.Ha Ha

It's one of the best deals in town. The course is in excellent condition and the greens are perfect. I wish there were 9 more holes of equal quality. By far one of best kept secrets in the area.

This was a great course that was enjoyable to play. Even though it is just a nine hole course it offers a wide variety of challenges. Several holes reward accuracy over distance. On at least three holes you can just let loose with the driver and chase down the "slightly" pulled or pushed shot without too much of a penalty. There are other holes that will leave you with second shots >200 yards to a blind green location. All of the greens were immaculate and the hole locations selected were challenging. The only issue I came across involved other golfers not repairing their ball marks on the greens. But what course doesn't have that issue?

I've driven by the course so many times through the years I'm finally glad to have taken the time to stop and play the course (twice for a full 18). Definitely recommend it to beginners and experienced golfers alike. Finally kudos to the staff that maintains the course as it was in absolutely beautiful condition.

THEY REALLY NEED TO PUT UP SOME YARDAGE MARKERS. OTHERWISE, NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY.

The course was a fun course to play. The greens were very nice. The rough was rather long, but not overly penal. I played 18 holes in around 2.5 hours. The value for the money was outstanding.!

This 9 hole course is very wide open which is ideal to beginner golfers. Course was well maintained and worth the price.

This 9 hole course is in nice shape. The greens are large and well maintained. Fairways and rough are green and cut. The staff was very friendly. Received fair amount of play but moved along at a good pace. Good value for the price.

course is moderate, some holes a little challenging. very nice relax setting and pace. would recommend to others.

You will not find a course in better shape. The greens are soft and fast. Could not ask for a nicer 9 hole course to,play. Mid-week golf is a pure pleasure at this,course. You will hit every club in the bag. Nice lay out for a hilly track.

This course is very forgiving for a beginner golfer. We love it cause it is close to work and a great nine hole for the price. The staff is always very friendly and the course is very well maintained. The fairways are wide and there are very few woods or places where you can't find your ball. Definately will be going back.
