Unfortunate pairing
I arrived 30 minutes early for my tee time and they were just finishing up an outing. There was no one on the first tee when I checked in and so I asked the man in the pro shop of o might be able to get out early. He said no, that I was playing with three other people, and that I’d have to wait. They showed up a few minutes before the tee time and off we went. What I didn’t know was that they a family and that they were new to the game. What could have been easily a 3 hour round of golf for me as a single turned into a very long and frankly unenjoyable 4+r hour ordeal that resulted in us not getting a full round in. In the future I will have to be more selective with what courses I choose from and what times I will choose to play.
