Nice Course
This golf course is nice for the price. It is still early March so the course wasn't in great shape. The tee boxes were moved up on every hole. Hopefully that means they are seeding the real tee boxes to get ready for summer. We finished in 4 hours which isn't bad cosidering we were behind 4 walkers.
My Home Course and my favorite
The owners and the people make this course. I have have some of my best moments there. The greens are often iffy but we still have a great time. NO houses along the course. LOTs of nature.
Did I mention the people who play there?
Wet day
The weatherman screwed up wasn't supposed to rain until late Tuesday/early Wednesday. Well it rained over night, but with a 12 PM tee time it had just about stopped raining. Cart path only but just at a 3 hour round it went really quick. It helped that I played to the cart paths when possible. It also helped to par 6 holes.
Good deal
I'll start with the only negative I could think of which was the greens were bumpy from aeration and preposterously slow. The speed I don't necessarily find to be a problem, but it was just shocking compared to what I'm used to. Other than that, I felt the course was well maintained and had a fun layout. Not particularly challenging, but a fun course nevertheless.
I have to make a comment about how awesome everyone I met there was. From the fellow players to the staff, there was not a frown to be seen. Everyone was just happy to be able to play golf or to help people play golf. Not for nothing, but I've run into a fair amount of miserable people in the pursuit of recreation we all share. To me, a good attitude goes a long way to making an experience really good. For under $20, this is pretty hard to beat
Great place to end the playing year.
Course was busy but everyone kept moving. The carts didn't want to run because of the cold, but we managed. I had one of my lowest scores in the last two months.
Quick round 2 days before Christmas
Quick round two days before Christmas. Temps were about 52 degrees, some ice on the course but all in all not bad. About a 3 1/2 hour round. Some of the greens still show signs of aeration but not real bad.
Great place to learn
Great place to learn golf The course is pretty much wide open so you can hit away I love this course and will continue to play here
Love this place
Great place to play would recommend it to everyone
Slow play
Course in decent shape and greens are in great shape. Good layout and pretty open as far as any slices or hooks are concerned. Frost delay created slow play for everyone. Waited at every tee box at least 5 minutes. Over 5 hours for a golf round. I guess decent weather brings everyone out.
Family-run operation
You don't find many courses nowadays that are owned by a family and these are the nicest people you could ever meet. Well run but conditions are subpar because of lack of funds I'm sure. If you're not picky it's a great place to play especially a beginner.
Good day outside
Played the back side first, they had a frost delay this morning. The back 9 thaws quicker. Somewhat chilly and an almost constant wind. But ended up being a pretty quick round, 1 1/2 hrs for the back and finished at about 3 1/2 hrs. Course is in pretty good shape going into winter.
Gotta love some Fall Ball!
Great round for the buck! Great staff, wide open, and better than expected course conditions.
Great experience
Nice layout, friendly people, price is good- will play again soon
Weather Forecast Completely Wrong
We booked several days in advance because the forecast was for very good weather. It rained all day and was cold and miserable. The pace of play was extremely slow due to fouy young guys fooling around and playing several balls on each hole. After nearly four hours, we skipped four holes and left. First time I have had a really bad round at this course. Too bad a few people can ruin the day for a lot of guys that play here a lot.
