Review
Awesome course to work on your short irons - open year around I believe.
An addition of a pro shop would be nice .
I would come back - decent drive down broad street from center city .
Consistent
If you’re looking for a place to work out the clubs, search no more. The conditions were conducive to a course that was well maintained and passable from a challenging aspect. The staff and owners work very hard to keep this course worth coming back to for a quick practice 9. From a value standpoint it’s ok although I think there are other alternatives priced similar with a higher quality of fairways and greens. Search for deals making it more palatable and I would suggest to mgt, 15 bucks for the cart is excessive, 10 seems more fair. Again, great people and great to work on your game
Not worth your time or money
I thought I was getting a bargain, was almost a waste of time. Was skeptical when I saw there is no range, so showed up and started cold. Third hole is not on a green, just a flag in the fairway and has been so for over a year according to the locals. On the fourth hole - one of the few holes where long clubs are even playable - you are not allowed to use woods or drivers or long irons. Greens are ok which is why i gave the conditions a two star rating, but fairways are not mowed very short. Instead of coming here, find a different course. You may have to pay a bit more, but you will get more value for your money.
Good for the hot deal
Paid 15 bucks for the 10AM hot deal on a Wednesday. Well worth it for that. Extremely short course but very hilly you’ll get to use your driver on the last couple of holes. Tee areas rock hard. This is my first time walking. Gave me a good work out with the hills. Greens are in very good condition with the exception of the one hole that everybody else has been mentioning it’s just a circle in the fairway but for 15 bucks I just chip to close and went to the next hole. Fair amount of trees, which was good for shade. Blue tees could make it a little bit more challenging for those who want that. If you want to walk and pay only 15, I recommend giving it a try. FYI carts are available for a $15 rental.
Course conditions generally poor other than greens!
While the tees are chewed up, the bunkers are in atrocious condition, and the cart paths are in terrible shape...the effort in maintaining the tricky greens should be noted. And at least the fairways are moved daily. But the price increases in recent years have not resulted any of the promised major improvements made by management.
Great value
This was the first time I had played and had a great experience. I will definitely try it again.
No real improvement since last season!
You get what you pay for here - unless you pay full price without an online discount.
As noted in other reviews, the tees are a mess and the underbrush in some spots is untamed. But at least the small grounds crew keeps the grass cut every day and it has to be acknowledged that the fast sloppy greens are a bright spot. They can as challenging as any tour stop as long as they get enough water on a regular basis. However - despite past statements to the contrary - no attempt has been made to alter the deplorable conditions on the third hole by the huge amounts of dirt dumped there last year as a result of a major construction project on the adjoining property which cut off the green from the rest of the hole.
Way overpriced
Brutally overpriced at $40 for 9 holes for a below average course. I played with my son and 7 year old grandson and it was disgraceful that they charged us full price for a 7 year old. There was also a temporary hole that was embarrassingly short. The course conditions were decent but the cart paths were horrible making the ability to get from one hole to the other very difficult. Maybe if it wasn't so overpriced there would have been more than 10 golfers there on a sunny Sunday morning. We will never play it again or recommend it to anyone.
Go to the range instead
Very bad course, everything about it is just bad. There's no yardage at the tee box very uphill downhill. I believe it was hole 4 there was no green just a cup in some grass. Will never go again and to charge $35 is a joke.
Great Practice Course
This course has seen better days and there are a lot of things that need upgrading. The staff was super friendly. I would play here again if I wanted a reasonably priced 9 hole course to work out some things or just get in more of a practice round
This course is in horrible condition and isn’t worth paying a dime for
The majority of holes on this course have very poor grass and are so tightly packed together that anyone nearby that can’t hit the ball perfectly straight puts you in immediate danger. Most holes also have trees hanging directly over the fairways that just need to be cut otherwise any shot more than 6 feet off the ground will hit a branch. Hole #3 specifically is basically a dirt patch and the “green” is literally composed of fairway grass that borders on short rough. All of the tee boxes are horribly beaten up and basically mounds of dirt. The price for 9 holes at this course should be $3 MAXIMUM let alone $30……
Course conditions were good, friendly staff, not sure how they can charge a cart fee based on players??? A cart rental is a cart rental…
Dangerous
New golfer here.
Difficult course. That’s ok, but I felt like the holes are crammed together, there were balls flying everywhere, one even hit the clubhouse! Super hilly too.
Not wasting my $$ there again.
