Too much going on
I realize golf facilities are challenged to maximize revenue in peak season and in tougher than average economic time. This course had way too much going on - a morning tournament ending, regular tee time going off the front and a shotgun fund-raiser for a local college football team going off the back. Needless to say, carts were late turning and tee times delayed. A harried staff had little time to give the non-tourney golfers direction on anything, so it was pretty chaotic. Course is OK, well-maintained, old-school parkland design, but nothing really wows except a couple of distinctive Par 3's. And as we finished, a wedding party was arriving for the ceremony and reception
steer clear of the hungry trees
The staff was very attentive and helpful, A+ for the service. Well kept greens and fairways. Tee boxes were a little too plush for my liking, regardless of that it was a clean experience
Fun and reasonable I will definitely come back again
Straight forward not very long and greens are accessible, great chance to score a low round as wayward tee shots were easily found and getting back in a good position was fairly easy. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to play in the York,Pa. area. I feel this course was a good value for the fees charged.
Rushed us when we're on a 4 hour pace!!
We finished 9 in 2 hours and 10 minutes, We waited on several holes for the group ahead of us. I saw them start twosomes alone instead of pairing them up. Gruff ranger comes along on the 8th and tells us to speed it up - it's backed up to the 2nd hole. We get to the 9th tee and again wait 5 minutes. I don't think a 4-4.5 hour round on Memorial Day is bad (and I like to play fast). So - thank the grumpy ranger for me not choosing to return to this course.
love this course! One of my favorites.
