Blue/Ridge at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club
About
Nestled in the rolling hills of northeastern Pennsylvania, Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf that were carefully carved from woodlands and valleys. There are no parallel fairways throughout the entire course, giving each hole a secluded setting. The golf course offers plenty of variety, which has made it a popular venue for outings and tournaments. The holes are divided into nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Ridge Course is both scenic and challenging. The courses are almost equal in length but the Blue nine is considered slightly more difficult, although the Ridge nine possesses two of the few water holes at the club. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are also strategically placed bunkers along the greensides.

Good condition for so early into the season
The hot deal price at 11:00 was a great deal. Can't wait to play there again.
course has a great lay out
played on a Thursday morning about 50 degrees a little snow on first hole and it was a little wet but not bad for April 3 played 18 holes in three hours the greens were great fairways were very good considering it had snowed two days earlier . picked up lunch at the turn they have a good menu to choose from had a great time can't wait to play it in the warm weather
Awesome place to play golf!
Played the course Sunday 10/13/13. The greens were superb and the course was in terrific condition. Tony in the Pro shop is always warm and friendly as is all other staff. I know I can always count on Blue Ridge Trail for superb conditions and an all-around great golfing experience.
A nice ride through the woods.
I've played here a couple times. 27 hole layout is always in good shape. May be a little pricey for some but you do get what you pay for here. Greens can be challenging and the visual deceptive. Trust the GPS in the cart. My playing partner had a wrist GSP that left me short of the green and in a trap more than once. Staff is very friendly. Pace of play can be more than 4 1/2 hours but not because of overplay. It just can be very challenging and the greens hard for the less than accomplished player. So figure 5 hours and try to keep up with the group in front of you. I will play it again if I get a chance.
Course was in great shape as usual
One of our favorite courses which always is a real challenge and in wonderful condition. I'd recommend it to anyone. Friends from New Jersey come up to play at Blue Ridge. We love it.
Greens are fast. Course drains well after major rain.
Would have been nice to know that the whole maintenance crew was going to be all over the course all day long. Extremely distracting. Aerating, leaf blowing, raking and they were spread all over the place. They also seemed to be working from 1-9 on each course instead of 9-1. Every time we passed them, they came right up behind us on the next hole. Course was in great shape though.
This course is very well manicured....
Excellent course.... Set at the edge of the poconos this course offered great elevation changes as well as a challenge for all skill levels. Staff was very accommodating and extremely helpful. Made our round that much better. Great course for fall golf in Pennsylvania!
Something for everyone some, treat yourself.
This course has it all, elevation changes, dog legs, water, carts with GPS and greens the pros would love. This was my foursome's first time here and can't wait to come back, next time with a larger group.
one of NEPA's best values
$ for $ it is hard to beat this course. It is always in the best shape possible for the weather conditions at the time, and it has the best variety of par 4's that I have ever played anywhere, period. The par 5s and par 3s are nowhere near the same level in terms of shot value and aesthetics, imho, but they are decent and they have the same level of superb conditioning.
This course features 3 different 9 hole layouts, and you don't know which 2 you are going to play until you get there. Most holes are tight and treelined, and the wise golfer will end up hitting less than driver on a fair number of holes. This ensures that you will use just about every club in your bag, which is one of my barometers for a quality course. But just when you are feeling claustrophobic, you pull up to a tee with a wide open landing area that begs for the "big dog".
The staff is top notch. The grounds crew seems to be forever out there primping and preening, but they are very professional and move quickly aside so as not to interfere with play. The bar and grill has fast friendly;y service with a good selection of brews and grub.
I live an hour away from this course, and my only beef is that they built it so far away from my house. Oh yeah, and I wish they had some more big par 5s for us bombers!
Great layout with country club conditions
The course is just a great course with elevation changes and conditions. Several tee boxes to play from so golfers of many skills can enjoy this layout. The course has GPS on the carts and is one on the great values to play in the Poconos.
all was good.
The course was the best, could not be any better. The staff, especially Tony, went out of their way to make you feel well welcome.
Beautiful course to play.
The course is always in great shape, but yesterday when we played, we started on the Trailset of holes, and I probably wouldn't have played knowing that they had just airrated the greens on this set of holes. Other set 9 we played were the Blue holes and they were wonderful
Great layout and thank God for the GPS right on the cart.
I played this course before and now it is in better shape the ever. The GPS is so important ,I feel because of the tee shots distants and set-up for the rest of the hole. Then you can manage the course well. Lower scores!!
Great course
Challenging course. Great views, great condition. Water, sand. Several tee boxes & options. Good food. Plays a touch slow.
Great value
I drove up to PA from DC for a wedding and play a round here. I was expecting a very easy and plain course but was treated to a beautifully maintained course. Great price compared to what I'm used to seeing. Well worth it.
Best bang for the buck in PA??
I'll list the negatives first since they are few and far between and seem borderline knit-picky. I played the Blue and Ridge nines during my first visit to this course. First, I would have liked to see one more set of tees to play from. The jump from 6100 (whites# to over 6600 #blues) is a little gappy and leaves room for another set to choose from inbetween. From the whites, I don't believe I played a par 5 over 490 yards, which makes the par 72 a tad misleading. The only other negative I could think of is playing the Blue 9 followed by the Ridge 9 does not take you near the clubhouse/halfway house at the turn. Coupled that with the fact that we didnt see a drink cart all day, I was more than ready for refreshments than one should be after a round.
All that being said, I paid 28.00 through the golfnow app and can honestly say that dollar for dollar this is far and away the most fun golf experience I have had. Each hole has its own character. There are a lot of tough holes but none that seem 'tricked-up' just a lot of really good golf holes on generally great fairways and good greens. We played on a Monday morning and got around in 3:50 no problem. I will definitely plan on making this trip every summer and will recommend it to all my buddies!
The course is well maintained from tee to green.
The tees and fairways are well cared for, the greens are reasonably quick. The sand traps are well raked. The ownership pays attention to ensure a great golfing experience.
great course for the price
Course was in excellent shape. Staff friendly. Even though it was crowded, pace of play was under 4 1/2 hrs.
Outstanding
Best course we have played in a long time. Outstanding staff and course. On our list of make sure we play again.
