Castle Hills Golf Course

Outstanding condition and great greens. I was the first person out, and everything was great.

My golfing friend and I had an early tee time and they sent us off on the back 9 since there was a scramble on the front 9. We played 9 but ran into a log jam when we got to the front 9. We went to the club house and Scott handled our problem perfectly! He was excellent and we had a totally fun day and will be sure to return again and again! Great job, Scott! and thanks!

Pace of play was fast, an event had just finished up. Greens were in good shape and the sand traps were actually in excellent shape, something I have not seen a lot of this year, partly due to the rainy summer we have had. Staff is friendly and seems to appreciate the business. I hope to come back to this course again soon.

course was in very good condition considering the dry weather we have had this past year. Greens were very nice but a bit chewed up do to earlier play. Lots of different looks on the putts also. Really enjoyed our round.

Castle Hills is a nice course. The staff is friendly, even the grounds keeping staff is conscience of the golfers. During my round they would stop their mowers and wait patiently for me, without putting pressure on me to rush my shot. The course is laid out very nicely. Water and woods come into play at times but are generally out of reach from the tee for most amature players. Every hole has a unique challange, no two holes are the same, to me this is the best thing about Castle hills. Right now the grass on the fairways and roughs arent in perfect condition but from what I remember from playing this course last year they will probably have this sorted out by the middle of the season.

Front nine is pretty open. Back nine is a lot harder with some tricky holes. You need too place your shots well. Ball would stick on the greens very well.

Played this course several years ago and enjoyed it again on this trip. Great greens, pace of play in a morning round was fast.

Course was definitely overbooked. Took 5 HOURS to play 18 holes. Had to wait on every shot. Will not be playing there again on Tuesday mornings. Ranger also did not like where we parked the cart on one hole. He said there were signs about cart parking but neither of us saw any signs. We try to be very careful to follow the rules on any golf course we play.

For all the rain we been having the course was in decent shape. Definitely play again before the year is ended

The ranger needs to do a better job with allowing large groups (5-6) & slow play. Fairways & tees needed mowed, and many holes had no tee markers or directives to the next tee. Good greens that were moderately fast and rolled true. I doubt that I would play again.

This was my first time playing the course. We really liked it. The greens were challenging.

The greens were better than any we have played so far in Western PA this year as of yet . There is a driving range and a putting green available. The course was easy to get to from 376. The course was still a little wet from the rains but it was a nice winding layout that was enjoyable to play.There are only 24 bunkers but be aware of where they are. Golf logix app help out with that. The Hot deal rate made it a great deal and we will be returning. Pace of play was good. Had a great burger after at the Crane Room Grille in New Castle, which is not far from the golf club.
