Tam O’Shanter Declined Service
I called Tam O’Shanter and asked Mike in the pro shop if the 10:20 t-time was open. He said it was. I had made the reservation at 10:20 on tee off. I called Tam O’’Shanter back to confirm reservation. Now it was booked by someone else, even though I had a confirmation Number.
Great course
This is a great golf course. They have knowledgable and friendly staff to make your round enjoyable. Greens are well maintained and roll well all year round, get a little fast in the summer months. It is a fun course layout that will challenge any level golfer. The signature hole is a par 3 called death valley, your fine as long as you make it to the green, lol! Arnold Palmer had a heck of a round going as a young golfer until he hit Hole #14. They have banquet facilities too. Don't hesitate to stop for a round, you'll love it.
Fun course to play!
Course was in great shape for the end of April. Greens were rolling really well and quite quick. Holes 12 -14 are the highlight of the course with 2 par 5's that can be reached in 2. The par 5 #13 has an elevated shallow green that is hard to hit on the second shot. The par 3 #14 is the signature "Death Valley" hole. It is one of the greatest par 3's in the area. There are many fun holes on this course. Two par 4's are driveable which is great for the average golfer.

Great layout ... first time staff was not enjoyable or courteous.
I play this course 2-3 times a year. I very much enjoy it. Today, the greens needed skimmed, but it is November, so no complaints. This is expected. I believe it to be the owner who was working the desk today. It wouldn't kill him to extend a smile or be pleasant to us. We were the only tee time there for the first two hours. After our front nine, stopped in for a warm drink or a hot dog. None to be had. We saw that they have hot dogs and buns, but I guess this service is beneath him. We said no hot dogs sir, he said "it's fall." Note to self .. don't play this course in the fall. Besides the staff, the course is always pretty and enjoyable. Remember, this is an isolated incident, the staff here is usually top notch.
Great course in great shape
The greens were in great shape. The rough was a little long in some places. Pace of ply was great
Nice Course
We played here for the first time and would probably play again if not so far away from where we live. It's an old course with a lot of character. A few holes are very challenging with very difficult greens to hold, even with a good shot. The "Death Valley" hole was fun to play.
Not the greatest course around, but well maintained and worth the money for sure.
Nice course
Arrived at the course for the first tee time of the day. We were slowed a little bit at the first hold due to the groundscrew doing their daily rolling/mowing of the green. The course itself was very forgiving, and it played a lot easier than it was rated. Simply due to the fact that it's an hours drive for me, I'm unsure if I'd play it again, but overall, not a bad course.
Nice course
I never played here before but I would return. The fairways and greens were well maintained.
I always look forward to playing Tam O Shanter each year.
This course represents a good value overall. I have played here for more than 25 years and it is always in good shape. The proshop is excellent.
Nice greens , plush fairways. A challenge for all levels of golfers
I find it to be a fun and challenging course.greens are in excellent shape.
The staff was very friendly. The course is also woman friendly.
nice course
This is a nice course, front 9 is moderately harder an longer than back 9.nice fairways and overall condition, greens just a little slow when we played but it was during a rainy spell.
beautiful course. fast greens level
Very Nice course.well maintained. staff very friendly.Only problem play was slow. Me and a friend 4some ahead of us would not us play ahead of them. The play was a little slow. Still enjoyed tjhe course
Great bargain,super course conditions.
I would recommend this course to all of my friends.
Great course for a great price.
I played this course for a $15 hot deal and it was worth every penny.
Got to the course a little early and was able to tee off about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tee time, no wait. However, the group in front of us was walking and playing the tips, so the front 9 took a little long. The back 9 was a little slow as well.
Overall, the course was in good shape. Fairways were nice, rough was medium. Greens were rock hard and quick. I didn't have to repair many balls marks because I wasn't leaving any. Greens can be extremely difficult if you leave it above the pin or too far away - a lot of breaks.
A lot to like about the course
The course was in great condition from tee to green and in the rough, especially for this time of year and after the extended winter we had. The back nine is short even from the tips but some of the hole layouts keep it challenging. It's an hour drive for me but well worth the trip. If only it had a nice bar to hang out in afterwards to discuss the round over a couple of drinks. The cafeteria style dining area needs an upgrade. Nice pro shop though.
