Weekend Hackers
As in most courses you have to start early on Friday Saturday and Sunday if you don't want to play a 5-hour round. I've recently given up my private club status to be a nomad and paid the price a couple times. Pace of play can be terrible with 7/8 minute spacing. Maybe this course and others should consider 15 minutes on weekends?
Excellent
Limited areas that were burned or grass thin. Greens were pretty much impeccable. High recommendation if you can snag a hot deal.
Great golf course
Nice older course that's very well maintained by a friendly and always attentive staff and owner. Bunkers are being updated and when complete this course will look like a country club. You'll use all your clubs on a course with a good variety of hole designs and lengths. Don't skip the food; great selection and value. Pro shop is very well stocked, one of the best in Pennsylvania. We play it 2-3 times each year even though it's a 50-mile ride each way. Highly recommend; join the Shamrock Club for great videos.
Weather
The staff was so friendly! Even with terrible weather and rain recently, the course was in great shape and very well maintained. Will play again!
Extremely slow play
They were 19 minutes behind on tee times and then our front 9 took close to 3 hours. After 9, we quit, along with the group in front and behind us because it was so slow.
Very nice course. Will play there again.
The course was in great shape given that fact that we had no rain for weeks. Fairways and greens were very nicely maintained. Will definitely go back.
Great old fashioned course
Nice course, great layout. Greens and fairways in good shape. Only complaint was all flags on greens were yellow. If you don't have a range finder you won't know if hole is front, back or middle. Too many courses do this. It would be so simple to use red, white and blue flags on all greens. We're not pros, just give us a general vicinity of the hole.
Horrible
Very mean we were holding nobody up we were behind other people and the staff comes up and tell us we need to play faster
