Greens in great shape
Love the overall layout and some really picturesque holes!
Have been playing the course for years and my opinion they have gone downhill. What used to be very good, very fast greens were average condition and very slow. The course is in ok condition but overpriced.
First time
Always heard about oak tree and finally played it. Actually loved the course. Everything from the tee box to the green was pretty nice. Challenging course but not too crazy. Definitely coming back.
Oak tree
I thought the course was overbooked. It took my wife and I 5.5 hours for a round. Between leagues and overall slow play, it seemed forever between shots. The course was in terrific shape and played longer than the yardage indicated. I will play there again, but not in the middle of leagues.
Course was a little wet but reasonable with the amount of rain we have gotten. Rough was really long. Pace of play was poor took over 4 hours to golf 18. Waiting a minimum of 10-15 minutes to tee off each hole.
Great Layout
Challenging variety of golf holes twisting through rolling and wooded terrain. Quite tight off the tee with long rough and well trapped greens. Correct ball placement essential for scoring so helps to know the track. Conditions better than most, but not CC level. Biggest disappointment were slower greens than seem appropriate for the rest of the golf experience at Oak Tree. I like the course and the value seems well worth the price.
Oak Tree
Conditions of the course was very good. The greens were a little slow. The layout is awesome. Staff was very friendly.
Far drive
To take advantage of my pass I drove 2 hours and learned that the course was nice and l had a good game but I will put more time into deciding how far away my next pass will be for
Back after 20 years
My first time back in 20 years…and it wasn’t too bad. I played there as a member back then and its still a nice course. It’s not as manicured as it was, but it’s still a great layout.
Will play again.
Solid Course
First time playing the course and had a great atmosphere. Also went at 1:30 and there was nobody on the course so it was relaxing.
Awesome course
Conditions were excellent. Layout is great, greens pretty quick but would hold shots. Bunkers in good shape. There’s not one thing to complain about here!
Great Round
The course was in better shape than it's been in a few years. The greens were quick and smooth. The rough was pretty high but that's not abnormal here.
Memories of years ago
Played a number of times in the 80’s. Not the course it was back then but still a good one.
Course has fallen off in recent years, but still a great course.
When I first played here 5-6 years ago, the place was pristine. Played here Sunday. Conditions were far from bad, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Greens were near perfect. Tough as usual, they really test your short game. The fairways weren’t great. A few brown or dead spots. They just don’t look their best. I will always play here. One of my all time favs in the greater Youngstown region!!
