Greens were very receptive
We have not had much rain lately and the rough area is pretty hard. Stay in the fairways and you'll have no strange bounces. The greens were very good and they have to be a little slow right now.
had a good time
The course is not perfect, the rough was a bit high and full of white blooming clover. Still a great value for afternoon play.
Great fun course to play
Greens perfect
Fairways perfect
Rough a little high
Pace of play 3:45 not bad
Fair
Nothing special. The greens were very slow and the course wasn't on the best shape.
This is our go-to place too play. Been going for six or seven years. It is in the best shape ever. Staff is always great and the non-golf amenities are much improved.
Decent Course, Very Slow Greens
Shepherd Hills is a decent course to get out and practice on. While not a long course, it does provide for some challenging holes where accuracy is a must. My biggest complaint is the slowness of the greens. They are without a doubt the slowest greens I've played on all year. While it's up to the golfer to adjust, it just seems like taking a few hours and rolling the greens to speed them up would make the course more enjoyable.
Pin placement and conditions
I have played here many times and yesterday the pin placement on each hole was the best it has ever been, brought a whole new level of challenge to the round rather than the pins just being in the middle of every green. The pin placement was mixed all over different placement each time and made it very enjoyable. And the course was definitely in the best condition I have ever seen.
