Elks are religious bigots
I had a wonderful round for a GREAT price with a nice meal afterwards. As I was leaving I thanked the management for a wonderful experience. I was asked if I would like to join the Elks. The lady I spoke with said she would sponsor me. The requirements, no felonies and a belief in a supernatural being. I served my country in the 82nd Airborne and even was accepted in to the United State Military Academy at West Point NY. When I told them I was an atheist I was met with silence and a feeling that I was not welcome at the Elks Club.
In Good Shape
Greens weren't super quick and still difficult.
Not many burnt spots in the fairways and mowed.
Tee boxes reasonable, some had been sanded.
Bunkers had sand in them, above average condition and groomed.
Great staff
Really enjoyed playing. Group of ladies playing golf in as many states as possible.
Great morning of golf at the Rapid City Elks Club
Our t-time was at 7:30. A perfect time to play in the summer. Temperature was mid 70's with a slight breeze. Rate of play was just right, not having to wait on anyone or anyone pushing us. The greens and the fairway conditions were absolutely fantastic. I play here several times a year but this was the best condition I have seen here. It's always good but today was just great. I would definitely recommend this course for a great golfing experience! We booked it thru Golf Now.
Played course on vacation
This is an old course. Staff was not as helpful as I have experienced at other golf now venues. Pace of play was ok. Course was in above average condition
Everything was great it was hot and calm could have used a drink cart. All else was great
My Old Home Course
I hadn't played here in a few years but I returned to the area for a few days and got in 3 rounds. There has been some beautiful landscape improvements and the course was in impeccable condition as usual the greens were amazing ball rolled fast and true. The improvements in the club house blew me away absolutely beautiful and the remodel of the lounge and grill were incredible also.
This is a class act golf course so if you are looking to spend a day at the course while visiting Rapid City you will definitely be cheating yourself. Hit-em long and straight!!
