Love the layout of this course
A perfect day for golf. Rapid City Elks course is in great shape for this early in the season. Great customer service and pace of play was perfect. This is a very challenging course especially with some tough greens. This is one of my favorite courses in the Rapid City area.
Great springtime golf
Everything is great for the course. Greens were dry and fast. Roughs are short and not hard to play out of. Absolutely beautiful weather. I didn't go into the pro shop except to check in. It is limited due to COVID. This has always been a great course for the intermediate player.
Elks golf course
Liked the course, it was a little confusing finding your way around at first. Had nice long ,well manicure fairways, tight fast Greens. Lost a few balls in their hazards but all in all. It was pleasure to play.
Great layout and tough greens
Perfect day for a round of golf with a good friend. Weather was perfect and the course is in good shape. Greens are quite a challenge but love the challenge.
For out of town players
I played somewhat good on this course, first time here and Definitely be returning again for next year. Back nice is has difficult holes like the first par 5. Open field To out drive your friends and coworkers. Elevation tee boxes that can see the tops of the whole course layout when looking around. Dislike is would be the no beer carts driving around the Course. Updates on the golf shop is improvement. Overall fun event and be looking forward to play again
Course in great shape
The greens and fairways were in great shape. Only complaint was the insane number of mosquitos.
Perfect!
Thank you for a great afternoon of golf. We have not played a course that was in better condition in years (we’re from Texas). We have zero complaints except that we are headed to Yellowstone and won’t get to play again before we leave Rapid City..
Course and Staff were excellent.
Had a great round!
Elks
Great course. Some of the players don’t understand that when you are a group of five and have a group of two behind you they need to be let by. Really slowed us down. But good course. Fun to play and challenging
Perfect Fall Golf!!
It was Perfect Fall golf...
Leaves and Branches
But Perfect!!!
Bogey golfer friendly.
Nice day, course in great shape and the golf was good.
Awesome
If you are going through Rapid City don’t miss out on this gem. Beautiful and very scenic.Amazing condition and great value. Would come back to play this course for sure.
Rapid City Elks is worth playing
We played the Elks Golf course on Labor Day. The weather was warm in the lower to mid 80s but quite windy all day. The course was in great playing condition and we really enjoyed playing the Elks.
Pace of play was quite slow with a slow 4-some holding up a 3 some, 2 some and 4 some - sometimes all on the same hole. No one on the holes ahead of the slow 4-some and no course marshal to move the slow group along.
The 19th hole was a refreshing treat immediately after golf with lunch specials and a good selection of beverages following the round of golf.
Definitely suggest play at the Elks - we will return.
