Good course for the higher handicaps
The course handled the rain from the previous few days very well, a few wet spots, but not many.
The layout is fun and a little challenging if you miss the fairways. Greens were receptive.
The golf team is building a practice area that will be awesome when completed.
Don't waste your time and money
The old Cookeville Country Club. Small uninteresting greens, which happens to be the only bright spot about this course, because they play on the fast side.. The tee boxes are hard, barley any grass. Fairways are bare of any green grass. Flat course with no character. Not worth anywhere near the $25 paid. It's a $12 course at best. Would not recommend this course.
Nice course
The Golden Eagle is a nice course. Fairways haven't greened up yet but should soon. Greens were hard and fast.
Course was under maintenance. Only back nine open and had been recently aerated. Front nine being aerated and was closed. No warning or notice of aeration alert on Golfnow.
Golden Eagle is in the best condition I’ve seen this season. Fun and challenging at times. I play here when ever possible
Fun round
Staff was friendly. The course was in excellent condition .. not a bad spot in any of the fairways .. pace of play was good .. if you are looking for a challenging course this one may noy be for you .. but if you want a fun day of golf with great course conditions this one for you
Great Course, Good Value
Course is well cared for, caught up to a group of four and they invited me to play through and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out!
Ball Washers
I love playing this course, but it seems like every-time I play the ball washers are either bone dry or full of muddy water. Other than that the course is great. You can usually find great deals on GolfNow.
